The mod-chip is fake. The module is on the outside of your PSP so it makes it look like a brick, nonetheless, a very cool idea.

If I buy another psp, I'd buy the module as its cheap and by one of those logitech cases and always play my psp on that as it will not show that ugly chip at the back :)

i think that ugly thing on th back isnt a permanent fixture i think thats the prototype as it says the module fits inside the psp.

there are actually pics of it installed... but hey they could be fake il give u that. but i thought reliable sites such as www.ps2nfo.com had confirmed they had seen it working. and i thought prototypes had been sent out and some of the big hackers confirmed it... and i thought reliable mod chip sites confirmed it and have it for preorder. this seems like a waste of time 2 b making up lies about..... so much time and effort and for what?? :s

You wanna become known? You take the PSP hacking scene for a crazy ride and lie the whole way. I've only seen one "picture" of it "installed". Nobody such as Fanjita or MPH have owned up to seeing and using it so who knows. Why would you "release" details on a modchip without being able to ship it within 2-3 weeks.

It doesn't exactly scream real.

Oh yes, definately a long wait.. I'm a moderator on a psp modding site owned by a modchip seller, and that article and picture of the chip is the last I have heard of it. When I hear more I'll certainly let everyone know.
