REPORT: 4GB MS Performance

I know a lot of you won't be interested in this thread, but I wanted to make a report on my new 4GB MS (ordered from SuccessHK for $188.00 USD including shipping, delivered in less than 30 hours once credit card was approved). Thirst97 and I were talking about how much memory is allocated for the storage. You know, the part of the MS which is taken up for PSP formatting? Well, Thirst, you and I were both wrong: 4,000MB and after memory allocation left me w/ 3,904MB of free space. So as you can see, the memory allocation for PSP formatting is 86MB. Now this is what I was able to fit on my MS for games:
GTA:LCS.........460MB
Ridge Racer........151MB
NFS: Most Wanted...140MB
Fired Up Browser....10MB
Burout.............263MB
Splinter Cell.....1.30GB (Rip Kit kept glitching and freezing. Plus, I want the FULL experince - movies, the whole 9 yards)
Syphon Filter......775MB
ToCA 2.............390MB
WRC................281MB
DevHook 0.41d......35MB (approx. w/ both 2.00 and 2.50FW in folders)
Other misc. homebrew totaling approx 15-20MB :o
And I still have 14MB of free space!
Plus, I still have my 2 other 2GB MSs which have atleast 2 ISOs each on them. No, I'm not bragging as I'm very fortunate. I paid for these things w/ my hard earned cash. But I wanted to give you ppl a report so if any of you are thinking about buying a 4GB MS (remember, go thru SuccessHK, www.superufo.com) you'll know in advance about how much you can store and how much memory is taken up for PSP formatting.

Nice, very nice. Yea, the only reason I want the 4 Gig is for straight up ISOs. We were kinda way off on our little guesstimates. Hopefully by the end of the week I can afford the 4 Gig.

Yea, dude. As you can see, that's the only reason I got my 4GB MS. Unfortunately tho, I'm still not satisfied. I want an 8GB MS. Then I should be able to fit everything one one MS b/c I am still going to have to switch MSs out to play other games. But the really cool thing is I keep the 4GB MS in mostly all the time b/c the ISOs I have on it are THE BEST OF THE BEST. So I just keep my PSP in 2.50 Emu all the time and just hit "Home + L/R" to select my game. That's the sickest feature. It's so much better than going into the game menu, selecting Daxziso or w/e, then waiting for it to launch, then choosing the game you want to play within Daxziso, then launching that and waiting, waiting, waiting.
Thank you Booster, wherever you are! YOU EFFING ROCK! Now I'm gonna need you to get 2.60 emu going, kay pal? LOL

Lol, exactly. Too bad that the 8 Gigs will only be compatible with 3.0 plus.

But maybe our hackers will be good enough to find a way around that, too. That would the day of all days... I'd be lovin' life even more... Welp, I'm outta here, dawg. I'm going to play me some Splinter Cell. Btw, I have the full Virgin untouched ISO, but the movies still freeze. Well, at least the 2nd movie does where Fisher is talking to that gov't official about how he joined the terrorist org and Sam tells the guy to ask Lambert himself or w/e.

Sucks for you. Have you played Splinter Cell for XBOX? This version for PSP is the EXACT SAME. I'm talking about graphics when I say that. The grapics are amazing. You'd think you were playing it on XBOX if you were stoned and had downsyndrome b/c the PSP screen is not as big as a TV screen. But still, it's EFFING AMAZING. The controls are a bit diff, but you'll get used to those real quick if you know what's good for you. ?? I don't know. I'm just rambling on like good ol' Led Zep. Ok, I'm talking gibberish. I'm out dawg, really. I spent 12 hours on Splinter Cell yesterday. I started at 1.30 PM and finished like 2am. I kept screwing it up. I tried the rip kit version, it sucked. So then, I had to get VcdromX out again, re-rip the game, blah blah blah. At one point, I was drunk and I forgot to change out the PRX files and had to start all over. And you know how long VcdromX takes. 5hit. I had a bad day yesterday, but now I get to enjoy the fruits of my neighbor. Um, Labor. But my neighbor's hot! Nice its-ta. (Think pig latin)

EDIT: I can just imagine your anger when you got the german version! Lambert's telling you to do something in German and then all of a sudden you have a time limit on a clock w/ like 1min, 30secs left and you are like okaaaaaaaaaay Um, I'm just going to hit the "Home" button now.... DAMMIT!!!

Lol, that's what I was like. I was all glad to be able to finally play it and I boot it up and it's all in German and shtuff.
