Convert multiple DVDs to 1 PC file & Play on PC

This is a very "newbie" question: I need to take 4 or 5 DVD's, copy them to a large hard drive on a PC, append them so they appear to be 1 continuous video, and then have the PC play the video. When the video ends I want it to start over playing again. I'm thinking I can use something like SmartRipper to extract the VOBs to the PC's hard drive, but am not sure what to use to splice the VOBs together and control the playing of the VOBs on the PC?

Use smart ripper to decod the DVD's. use EasyDivx to change them to 700MB files if you dont need the quality and use MpegSplit2 to split or join them
