The trick is, stang, to "feather" the gas coming out of the apex of a turn. If you smash the gas, you're gonna wipe out, regardless. You need to be gentle w/ the car. That's what makes it so fun is it's realistic. But not the point where it's completely rediculous. (Gran Turismo 4 Rally, anyone? Now that was pathetic!)
and no - you'll HATE the walls. But I LOVE a good wreck. Like when you go bouncing across the grass and hit a wall head on and the front tires fly off, the transmission goes out, windows smash out... everything. That game is incredible. I'm gettin ready to race Zandvoort in a min... I don't know what this could mean tho. Broken PSP? My ego becoming bruised? Only time will tell...

Ok, do you get to buy new upgrades and cars overtime? Do you have seasons where you try to win the championship at the end of the year/season. I guess my main question is what's the storyline or point of this game.

Their is a story, kinda lame though, and no, u cant mod the cars (im an nut about modding cars, look at my name lol). Its the best racing game by far for the psp, Thirst stop whatever u r doing and get that game!!

Yea, I love modding cars too. I'm all about making it look the coolest, drive the best, go the fastest, and what not.

Yes: You have to race for championships. Sometimes, they're like 8 races deep consisting of 3-4 laps each. (Nice!)
No: You can't buy upgrades or new cars, but the upside of that is you are always racing some diff kind of vehicle b/c your sponsor keeps changing. Your team name keeps changing, too. For the first race, you start out in the last few corners of the last lap of a race. It's really weird but cool. In that race, you drive a 1968 Ford GT40 (Gulf Paint job, just like in Gran Turismo - it's beautiful!) There are races where you'll race rally, you'll do races in the mud w/ a Land Rover, you'll drive open wheeled race cars (kind of like formula f1 or something indy-type), you'll even race trailer truck rigs. The game is VERY diverse in that you're always racing something diff. I LOVE that aspeKt.
Yes: There is a slight story line, but you'll have to wait, dude. I don't wanna ruin it. The game rocks, we'll put it that way.
That's all for now. Play the game to learn more. Plus, other ppl might read this post and it may ruin it for them.
Btw, I once raced this race where my tire popped and came right off the rim, so I was racing w/ three good wheels and a rim. This game is sick!

Btw, the cool thing is the version that's being passed around via *cough* torrent *cough* somehow registers as a 1.50 required game. Now THAT'S COOKING WITH FIRE!!! (Thank God for the hackers!)

Damn. See if I could learn how to do that, I would in a heartbeat. Thing is, there's no guides or shit on how to do that crap. One of those experienced hackers should create a guide or 2 for the rest of us.

@ Dinner: No problem, dude.
@ svtstang: I don't know if you know dude, but there's this thing in racing called "Engine Braking". It's when you're going too fast to keep pressed on the gas around a slight curve (when you start fading to the outer edge of the turn) and if you hit the brakes, you'll cut the apex too tightly. In this instance, just let off the gas and coast for a little bit. The pressure built up in the engine providing the forward momentum will decompress and will slow your car down a by a little bit, enabling you to nicely make it around a turn. (Esp if your car is a manual transmission) Believe it or not, I use engine braking ALL THE TIME in racing games. I'm sure Thirst can back this tip up, too. But that's just incase you didn't know. If you already did, then maybe this will help someone else.

Yea, I do engine braking all of the time. In turns you can't gun it and you can't hit the brakes without spinning out, so engine braking helps get through those turns and what not.

I'm scared now. The car I'm driving for this particular race I'm on is a Jaguar XKR RACE CAR w/ AT LEAST 400HP, the car is still peeling out at 100MPH, it's squirrely as all hell and I'm doing 200MPH just after the 2nd turn of the race into a long straight, but just before the turn at the end of the straight there is a big bump/dip kind of thing where you lose control of your car if you're not careful, the brakes aren't enough for the weight/speed ratio and I have hit at least 3 other cars and have had damage done to my transmission and engine EVERY TIME at that turn, the race is a 5 lap race w/ a mandatory pit between the 2nd and 4th laps and it's just too impossible. I have played thru the other levels, but I don't think I'm going to be able to win this race. :( This is like waaaaaay advanced. Possibly beyond me, but I will attempt to refute that possibility. Anyway, I'm 50% of the way thru the game and if anybody wants my savefile to see what I'm talking about, let me know. You'll puke. It's just way too hard.

Yea, but this car is no ordinary car. If you and I raced, the Jaguar XKR Race Car and your stang, I'd be at the finish line smoking a cigarette w/ all the babes around me cheering me on b/c I won all the cash and they're all gold diggers anyway, so w/e...LOL
