That may be okay for kids movies, but I will use the better media. More problems have been caused by bad media, i.e. bad burns or no burns at all. Look around at the posts and you will find a majority have been cleared up by purchasing the better media. If using cheap works for you then keep on using it, but it is not a good thing to recommend it to others. Perhaps you can scan some of those cheap media disks that you have had and post the results, to see just how many errors there are.

Yes correct.. If it works for you stick with it..
I just use reasonable quality disks because I have specific needs and some of the lasers in my drives are valuable. That's the thing with cheap disks. They may work fine but it's what you don't see.. like damage to the laser in the burner and drives that they are read in that's important to me.

Just out of curiosity, what are some media codes of those so called el cheapo medias? Not all, just most el cheapo media is made by crapola manufactures. You will find that quit a few no name brands and some store brand name media buy from ritek which is good budget media and better than average. burning ok is one thing but longivity is altogather another. I know for a fact that some media made by garbage manufactures such as cmc mag, daxon, and fuji may burn ok and play fine initially but given 6 months to a year not only do most have playback errors but some couldn't even be recognized.

@ottcan

You did not need to edit out your posts, your opinion is allowed. It is up for debate with others. ddp only moved your post to the appropriate forum and warned us all to be kind to each other.
