BURN ERROR PROBLEM

Can someone please tell what this error means? I had did a firmware update about a month ago from the help of everyone on the board. Is there a problem with that again? I'm using Maxwell 4x disk to burn with never had a problem with them before. Thanks for any help

Basically your drive doesn't recognize the CMCMag disc (Memorex.)Get a quality disc Taiyo Yudens, Verbatims, or made in Japan Sonys or Maxells.

(Maxells)this is the brand I'm using I missed typed it earlier. I tired to copy my movie again and it worked this time maybe that was just a bad disc in the pack...thank you all for your help this board is the best.

Here I go again with another burn error when I tried to copy a movie it will kick it out at the end at 99% when writing the lead out.

(KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR) SHIT DISKS like we said before get some decent disks ritek g05 over the years must backed up at least 50 or 60 kids games films etc can only remember about 2 cock ups that was because of bad disk

You are burning too close to the edge, reduce your size in Shrink to 4300, and try again.

I have not had any problem with Ritek's either but then I always do reduce my size. But the drive is not happy with the media that is for sure,

Either it is being inserted after the program is running, or the drive just does not know what it is.

I'm using Maxell 4.7 gb and they only burn at 4 speed. I've never had a problem with these disk until now. How do I make sure my shrink is set for 4300? thanks for the help

Never used shrink but of the top of my head go in to options and select the output size move the slider down to 4300 or select auto size still say poor disk your dvdrw doesn't even recognize them (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)

Go to the Edit tab in the program choose Preferences and then you can change the output size.

Well after changing the setting to 4300 I tried to burn again...this time I watched it and it made to 100% but when writting lead-out it don't seem to finish and gives me error...UGGGGHHH

You need to try another brand of media if you can, on the first log you posted you got a PMA failure which is media related, on this one Session fixation, also pointing to media.
Just what file are you trying to burn, was it ripped correctly?

Unless you are running a Dell computer in which case it needs to be on Cable Select, Dell's don't like the master/slave configuration.

Yes I have a dell...but I have burned over a 100 movies just lately I'm having all these problems. I did the update for the fireware thought that helped, because I was able to burn a movie after that. But this is the first time in awhile since I tired and having all these problems again. I'm trying to burn Hills have eyes. Yes it was ripped fine didn't have any trouble with it using Shrink.

Did you just use Shrink alone on this movie, because it will not remove the protection. Either rip first with DVDFab Decrypter and then use VobBlanker, or AnyDVD ripper using the remove blank and unreferenced cells.

If you ripped correctly then all I can suggest is to try another media. Your error is usually related to DMA settings and yours are on, or incompatible media.

I've same kind of problem but I've good brand of discs because they worked earlier. I heard that the problem was SM Bus driver from Nfroce. I tried to remove it as I've been told. Didn't work. Have latest firmware for my LG burner HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4160B. Here is the log from nero:
