This patch is for anyone who has ToCA 2/DTM Race Driver 2006. If you don't use this patch, the game freezes after the 2nd race. I tried this and it works great! It got me past the freezing point.

Is this game any good? There are oh sooooooo many racing games out there, I don't really know which ones I should get.. So far I have Ridge Racer, Cars, Need for Speed Underground Rivals, Midnight Club 3.

This game is the Cadillac of ALL racing games. You think those ones you listed are good? Did you like Gran Turismo? I mean, did you really like Gran Turismo? I'm referring to the physics. If you can't handle a real simulation game like that, don't play ToCA 2. Need for Speed and Midnight club and Ridge Racer are great games, but they're not realistic. Not even close. If you don't know how to drive by using the apex of a turn properly, you might wanna hold off on this game b/c it will make you very mad. You'll constantly be wiping out. You must be a seasoned racer and know your apexes to be able to play this game effectively. I'm not saying you can't tho - maybe you totally kick butt at racing games. I just know how anal I am when it comes to racing games and I ALWAYS have to get 1st. I WILL NOT ACCEPT 2nd. Sometimes it will take me an hour to finish a four lap race b/c I reset it so many times. That's all I do is play racing games, and this one gives me trouble. You can't mod your cars or anything, so it's a fair challenge UNLIKE Gran Turismo where I usually have a 1,000 Horsepower Supra going up against 180HP Toyota Sprinter Truenos. LOL!

lol wow guano I like your answer... after all really gives me a good understanding of the game. I guess I have been messing around with the wrong kinda games so far.. and no I'm not really that good at the racing games but I do enjoy them. SO I'll check this out and see if its worth a "buy" Hmm haven't played Gran Turismo yet *blushs* not enough game time mate... so little time so so many games!!!

dude, you GOTTA try Gran Turismo 4 for PS2 if you have PS2. The game rocks! You can make so much money. Plus, if you like Need for Speed Underground, Gran Turismo 4 has import tuner cars all tricked out like The Fast and The Furious, some with underglow. Sick game!

aha well there in lies the problem! I don't own a PS2, never have, I'm a nintendo person, I mostly like "girly" games and then some, but racing has always been a favourite.
So don't they have a Gran Turismo for the PSP?

Well Gran Turismo was supposed to be a launch title like two years ago, but they kept pushing back the release date. It seems like it will never be released. I've even tried searching torrents for it b/c it will come out in Japan b4 it's release in the US, but no such luck. It's not out anywhere in the world. That will be a game worth upgrading for from a 1.50 tho.

Oh yes I do remmember watching something on G4TV regarding Gran Turismo being created for the launch, I wonder whatever happened to that idea. Sounds like it would have been an excellent launch title.
EDIT: Hmmm not sure if it'll be worth the upgrade for me, I'm never gonna upgrade, never I tell ya!!! They can't make me :D

I guarantee we won't see you the rest of teh night once you get it working. It's that good! (But you already knew that from the posts stang and I made last night) And the one version that's out there is the 1.50 version. I don't know... Those hackers kick a$$!!! So you know that means you won't have to screw w/ PRX files! YEA BOYEEEE!!!
TIP: Use the CiSO tool found at www.ps2nfo.com to compress it. Should end up at EXACTLY 390MB (I just checked) if it's the version I have. NICE!!!

Not one bit. In fact, there was w/ DAXZISO a little bit, but then I decompressed it and re-compressed it w/ CiSO and it works even better. NO GLITCHES WHATSOEVER!!!

After last night, I don't think I'm gonna play it anymore. I'm still on that race w/ the Jag XKR Race Car and I can't do it. I can only get 5th place by the 3rd lap and that's giving it like everything I've got. It's a 5 lap race, but there is so much damage to my car by the 3rd lap, I just hit "Home" everytime. PSP says: Are you sure? HELL YEA I'M SURE. GO HOME!!!

What season is this? I want to get to that point and see whats the deal? Its really that bad? I know the stockcar racing sucked, cant be any worse than that, can it?
