Ok virgin lol joke ;) erm anyway the connection on the back of the slimline ps2 is an ethernet conection which requires an ethernet cable for eg a cat5 or something. Although if your pc is online via broadband then you should already have an ethernet cable conecting your pc to your modem. what to do is disconnect it from your pc and connect it to your ps2 for the mean time your online with ps2 then connnect it bk up. If you got ny probs just post bk buddy

Good luck!

You have a cable connection, the "phone line" connector on your ps2 is actually not a phone line plug, it is slightly bigger and is referred to as an ethernet cord.
Since you're relatively new to the online world what you will probably need is a wireless router (relatively cheap), you plug your cable modem into it using the provided short ethernet cable (the point of the router is to both give wireless capabilities and it gives you 4 more connection points to attach other ethernet devices ie: PS2).
If your PS2 is close to where your router will be and stringing a cord isn't a problem then I suggest you buy an ethernet cable and just plug it into the router, done.
If it is in a different room however (or just plain inconvenient to run a cable), then I suggest a wireless bridge to go along with the router. A bridge connects into your PS2 using another ethernet cable and (assuming you have already configured it to run on your new wireless router, see the instructions of these products) connects wirelessly into the router thus, giving you a cable connection to your PS2.

It's a lot to take in but that's about the best way I can explain it.
Good luck and post any problems!

It depends on your pc so I can't really say, just get the ethernet cord into spots that look like a phone line or slightly bigger.
How old is your PC cause it could be that you just don't have one on there?
