Hello, I've just recently got Action Replay to play back-ups and my SNES roms on my PS2, so thanks to everyone for their awesome guides on how to do it first. Anyway, I took off my cover and glued a little peice of plastic over the rear sensor and took out the stop disc sensor thing, the one with the spring. So all I do when I swap is remove a little peice of cardboard I put in the front sensor so the disc will stop spinning so I can change disc, well this morning I broke off the little sensor you push down and have to order a new reset switch cause thats where the sensor is. My question is how do you guys do it? If I buy an aftermarket cover won't the disc always be spinning? It's only good for Swap Magic not AR right? What's an easy and safe way to do it? I was thinking the open/eject button but I think it tells the PS2 you opened the cover right? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. But the flip lids only disable all the sensor right? When you open it you have access for the disc but all the sensors are still down, it works with Swap Magic cause that program makes your disc stop spining so you can swap but the AR swap you have to let the front sensor up to put in a DVD game for Cogswap right? They don't make a replacement case that looks OEM in different colors but with a mod cover? Cause those covers that are smooth look like cheap plastic and they don't match the texture of the original. I'm a perfectionist, sorry. I saw some Magic Key but instead of sticking them there, they were rubber and you push them in and can pull it back out but I can't find it now. I think I'm gonna try messing with my eject button so I can open the cover and then close it without the PS2 knowing just so the sensor goes up and then back down when I close it but the PS2 can't know it opened. Anyone try this?

Ok, I read your tutorial, sorry I thought it was the same one I used. So you don't use Cogswap? That's why I have to release the sensor cause CD Loader stops the disc spining right, but Cogswap, you have to let the sensor up and then put in an original disc then put the sensor back down. You're saying you can do everything with CD Loader and don't need Cogswap? I only ask cause it's the only way I knew, I just did it this weekend for the first time and it worked so I stuck with it and didn't look for short cuts. I will try it as soon as I get home, if it works for me on CD and DVDs I might just glue down my front sensor too! (I'm cheap) Thanks for your help MasterChu.

Ok so I tried it but when I put in an original dvd game and press triangle it say PS2 DVD but never stops spinning, and when I press X it goes to that galaxey screen with the colored boarder and says invalid disc. Also is it soposed to say PS2 loader on the bottom and not CD Loader? It says CD Loader in the Media player though.

There is a known issue with CDLoader. A good amount of games aren't recognized for the TOC refresh. In the case, you have another option: THE DOUBLE SWAP!

YEah, it's a real bummer to double swap but if you're going to use CDLoader to load your backups, then you might as well do it if you're unlucky enough to have it TOC refresh using your biggest game!

This is how it works. After CDLoader loads, put in a PS2 original game that you know will pass the TOC refresh process. Then, you'll see the insert DVD-R Using EA Method screen. In this screen, you're going to stop the disc using triangle again, put in the higher TOC disc that didn't want to make it through, and presstriangle again. IT should spin the disc for 2 or 3 seconds and stop it. Now, you can swap in your backup and press X and you should be able to load your backup without a problem.

This i one of the reason I don't using CDLoader as my swapping program. It doesn't work with my biggest TOC game: Devil May Cry! So, any time I want to use that, I have to double swap within it! Which defeats the purpose of using CDLoader instead of swapping in CogSwapLoader. That's the only work around to it sadly. :-/

@MasterChu, you can add that bit to your guide if you want. A lot of people have that issue with CDLoader since most people use DMC1 as their TOC refresh disc and CDLoader doesn't work with it.

PS2 V9 with Custom Flip Top
MC Exploit
ULaunchELF 3.78
HDLoader 0.8a with 160Gb Maxtor HDD

Nintendo GameCube DOL-001
XenoGC 2.0
POTS adjusted to 400Ohms from 496Ohms and runs everything thrown at it

If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.
