i copied my whole harddrive to my computer so i hav backups. I pressed restore dashboard to get my original dashboard back and now all it says is xbox live is not responding and it cant update plaese someone help me

Doesn't always work but here you go:

1.)Put in an Xbox Live enabled game (I used Halo2)
2.)Click on XBL
3.)Sign in with your XBL gamertag
4.)It tells you you need to update your Xbox.
5.)Your dashboard is restored!
