I have another random question. If I rented a psp game would it be possible to save the actual gam itself to the memory card? Yes I know, I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box but I'm new to these things. I have no experience with technology at all.

yup google fastloader thatll rip it to your memory card you must have a firmware 1.5 psp and not all games work if you rip them depending on what game it is you might have to get a different loader also u need a big memory card

yes it is possible only if you have a firmware 1.5 psp.i dont think you can with 2.0+ firmwares but youll have to find out soz mate. i think 'gtauk' has a lot of experience with higher version psp's you might want to ask him. but if you have 1.5 theres no problem. you can use fastloader 0.7 to 'dump' the umd or an app called umddaxdumper which gives you the option to dump it to your pc.

Thanks guys. I don't have a Psp yet but I'm actually buying one today. I'm pretty sure it won't be a 1.0 or 1.5 fw.

where'd u live cos ur best bet go to game and buy a pre-owned 1 just ask to look at it and go into the system menu to see what firmware it is,if its 2.0 or below ur sorted

also like to add in some countries even if you buy in stores and ask for version 2.0 theyll say its brand new but it will most probably a preowned one.. when you complain why theres dirt inside the monitor, theyll just give you some shitty answer like they have to open it up to change the firmware.. i got victimized due to ignorance... dont want that to happen to you mate..:)
