I have been a InterVideo DVDCopy user for years I have version 1,2,3,4, but I will not be buying 5 unless big changes are made.
First it installs a "virtual" CD drive (without asking first) and even though you disabled it, it reappears when you reboot and open DVD Copy 5
Second the DVD support though quite a few isn't enough. In version 4 at least my Sony DRU-510A was supported. In the new version 5 my DRU-510A my DRU-710A and my BenQ 1650 are NOT supported!
Because none of my DVD drives are supported I cannot burn directly to DVD. I have to burn to the HD first then copy to the DVD later. This almost doubles my copy time.
Now most times this might not be a big deal, but sometime I want to copy directly to DVD, and since the program says it will it should.\
Third: Customer service has gone down hill. You only get 30 days of free support, then it's only through email, and they have never fixed an issue.
Fourth: Updates are not conveyed to registered users. The only time I have gotten one was go the the site, download the program and check versions. They are SLOW to fix bugs if they fix them at all.
i was just about to download it too and i thought maybe i would check some reviews on this product and i seen your post and im like thank god i found this before actually downloaded it.
because i use AnyDVD and clonedvd2 i like em i never have had any complains about it always new updates always fixin stuff and improveing it i think you will be happy with the two...
they did make one improvment ,being able to control the burn speed but i had to many audio problems with the program(doing the movie only) and seldom use it anymore because of that. it does transcode hard to read dvd (bad or scrathed disc)
