Can I use MC Exploit with PSX Backup?

I have a chip which read psx backups , will the MC exploit work or I need only originals ? where I get compatible game list ? I tried Digimon arena and Galerians and both didnt work (also backup of tekken 3...)

I really want to install HD and launch some ELFs...

If you have a modchip, why do you want to use MC exploit? And what do you mean "I need only originals"?

I don't think a compatibility for PS1 games, but all that I've tried so far works (depending on your modchip)

You can't use HDD with PS1 games

because my laser is weak , i can barelly load dvds...
I always manage to load PSX games... so using the psx mc exploit will load the HDLoader always... :-D

The dvd I burned for HDLoader didnt work...

I want to be able to load elf the easiest way there is...

any suggestion (beside fixing the laser eye)

btw , can NTSC console mc exploit be triggered with PAL game?

a modchip that can boot programs from the MC is the best option to avoid using the laser - I boot my uLaunchELF from my MC, then run HDLoader from there, and use HDD to play games, so I don't use the laser at all. I still don't get what the problem is, if you say the laser is too weak to load DVD and can only load CDs, why don't you just burn HDLoader to a CD?

dan, you don't use your laser at all? So you do NOT boot from a PS1 game?

If i am hearing your correctly, can you tell me (or post a link) how to do that?

I have a modchip (matrix infinity), which lets me boot programs from the memory card, and I use my HDLoader to run games from my HDD :) The main part is the modchip, you want one that supports DEV1 mode so you can run programs from the MC without using a disk, I don't use the MC exploit :)

Hmmm... Which HD do you have in your PS2 ?
If its Internal , do you unscrew the adapter and connect it to the pc every time you want to copy a game ?


EDIT - Just noticed you have slim PS2 , does this mean you need another power source for the HD ? btw , will laptop HD which works with USB only will work ?

I have HD Combo (http://www.hdcombo.com/) which lets me use 3.5" HDD with my PS2... I got a seagate 200gb and it works flawlessly

Lol. Try to find an online shop near you and a reputable installer to get it installed :) I spent a little over $100 (USD) to get this installed, mainly because I'm from New Zealand and I had to get my kit from overseas then find someone to install it, but I think it's worth it
