I have a PS2,the first USA model(got it the day it came out) and an external USB drive,is there a way I can plug the USB drive into my ps2 and play movies and back up my games to it and stuff??

Do I have to use FAT32 ?? I formatted my external drive to NTFS,will that still work?

go and read the information on USB Extreme. It is most likely what you need to use for what you need.

If not there is a program called Winhiip that you put on your PC that can format the drive and transfer games to it.

But unless you just want to save the laser a bit a USB hard drive is just not the way to go. It is no faster than just using the discs.
I would get an internal hard drive, and the network adapter if you do not have it. It will increase the load times on games.
