I want to be able to transfer PS2 games from the computer thourght the network to the HD. how do I transfer execftp program to the hd and load it ? I have AR Max evo and HDLoader 0.8a . i can't use the mc exploiut since i dont have any psx games , but i do have working pen drive if it matters.
Although if you are transferring games from your PC to PS2, the program you'll be looking for is HDL Dump. But I do suggest that you take the HDD off your PS2, put it in your PC (either internal or USB enclosure), because the speed is a LOT faster (approx. an hour vs 3-4mins for each game) and use Winhiip to transfer the game that way

I have modchip on V4 which only sometimes manage to boot dvds :-)
(I burned HDloader on Verbatim and it works most of the time).
I never managed to make the MC Exploit to work (so I don't know exactly how can I load elf files), but I also trying it with psx backups , Im doing it because i ALWAYS manage to boot psx with no probs.
the AR Max evo also works (but uncrashing the .max save I made didn't help much).
Btw , Know which DEV1 chip I should change to so I could boot from HD / MC always ?
Again --- I can load backups since i have DUO2GT chip , it works most of the time since my laser eye is dying (DVD versions are best)
so what is best way to load elf like uLauncher and start FTPing to it ?
Since my Ethernet adapter is screwed , i preffer doing it over the network , time isn't issue here.

Ok , status for now is this :
I have 1 dvd with HDLoader 0.8a patched on it which boots.
I have 1 cd with execFtp which boots.
Didn't manage to activate the MC exploit (Althougth I see the files in the MC BADATA-SYSTEM folder - I tried with original Digimon , Galerian , Backup of Silent hill.. all booted PSX logo and not the
MC Exploit).
Now , question is , how can I put elf files (like this FTP program) on the HD or MC and boot from there...
worst case i guess is to make a cd which will launch those using the key program (forgot it name). but anyway I preffer something which works best most of the time...
Ok what I used to have is to have uLaunchELF on a CD and boot it from there, because you can do all sorts of things with it, like copying files from to USB/MC/HDD etc.
So my suggestion is get that, then what you can do is put all the ELF files on a USB drive and copy it from the USB drive to your MC using uLaunchELF (HDLoader, ExecFTP, etc etc), but you'll still need that one disk for booting uLaunchELF unfortunately :( But after it boots from CD, you can boot all the programs from your MC. I don't have a tutorial on this with me, but do a search and you should come up with something :)
