Uh.... when is this supposed to happen? I heard of this happening somewhere, and a quick google search yielded me no information except random ppl in article comments saying it was going to happen
rumor? from what i understand SONY is supposed to be making this happen, are they going to start encouraging disc images of ps1 games b used off a mem card? hah yeah rite.
please enlighten or point me in the right direction.

The official PS1 Emulator comes out in October.
Sony is allowing ISO/ROM images of PS1 Games to be played off the memory card.
You only live once and I'm gonna drink and smoke it away.

I can't wait for the PS1 homebrew emulator ... oh and PlanetPsp looks pretty cool too.. I travel alot.

Thirst, are you sure? I have read many places Sony is requiring ppl to repurchase games. Playing backups will only be an option for the unofficial emu

Yea, that's what I meant. Sony is making their own PS1 ISO/ROM images, encrypting them, and allowing them to run on the PSP. Of course, you have to pay for them.
I just meant that Sony is publishing ISO or ROM images for download to use on firmware 3.0.

HAHA, i wish them good luck with that. Between the millions of chips that are going to be sold and current 1.5 users, its not going to happen. Sory Sony, already wasted a grand on ps1 games, not going to happen again;)

damn thatll b hott... i hope it uses memory card saves the same way... i'll FTP in my modded ps2 and copy the saves from my mem card

@rsd - what do u mean? Talented hacks are already focusing their efforts on the ps2 emu, and thx to them, I can create a .bin and transfer my ps1 games to my psp, nothing bold about what I said, just Sony is crazy to think anybody that knew anything beyond how to spell their name would buy into their emu. Read before you post so you know what ppl mean.
