Playing of PS2 PAL game on a modified SCPH-30006 R NTSC PS2

I would like to find out whether my modified SCPH-30006 R NTSC PS2 can play PAL games from UK. I'm currently having a TV which support PAL & NTSC.

Anyone out there with any advice? Please help. Thank you...

As far as I know, even the most basic modchips will accept both formats, My swapmagic3.6 does.
