action replay on disc with game?

hi i got a back up version of dragon quest 8 and when i swap in dq8 after swap magic action replay max loads up then i just press start and hit launch game and dq8 comes on. what i wondering is how do i do this myself for other games could sumone direct me to a step by step guide for it plz.

also just a thought but if i was to inject action replay into a ps1 game image like it was done in dragon quest 8 could be able to play back up ps1 games on the ps2 just a thought like i siad:P
