I have recently purchased several official NTSC games to play on my PAL PS2 version 50003 planning to use swap magic v3.6 to boot them. Two of the games (NFL Head Coach and MVP Baseball 06) worked fine as usual, but when I tried to load MLB 2k6, I got a warning saying that the disc was not of PS2 format and a 'TOC error'. The disc is an official NTSC Ps2 game but will not play on my PS2. I have heard of there being 'fixes' needed to use swap magic with certain games, if this is the case do you know of one that will allow me to play MLB 2k6?

P.S -sorry if this is offensively stupid-I have looked for help but the amount of stuff out there is a bit confusing-any advice as to my best options for this specific example would be greatly appreciated.

Would the CD loader or DVD loader be any good in these circumstances? If so where can I get these from? Thanks

have you tried rebuilding the game(s)? Swap magic doesn't work with all games and some needs to be rebuilt

Sorry-what is 'rebuilding' in this context?

I rebuilt the ISO with Genie and burned it to Maxell DVD-rs at 4x with DVD Decrypter but I still got a 'Insert a PS2 disc' error when using it with swap magic...what can I do now apart from weep in frustration?

I did evrything correctly to my knowledge in terms of rebuilding it and writing it to disc. Could there be dummy files within the ISO? I looked but couldn't find any. Has anyone else had difficulty playing imported 2k sports games with swap magic?

I am still getting errors-are there any other methods to try-other software for rebuilding etc? I burned this one on 1x speed and still got the same 'Insert PS2 disc' error on the main screen of swap magic. I don't understand what else I can do really, as it must be down to too high a TOC, and yet rebuilding it hasn't helped...

Does rebuilding the game with Isobuster/other software make a difference? I used Gnie's rebuilding tool.

Ok first of all you dont need to rebuild this game. You need to get Zoneloader and you use that to boot the game. Use swap magic to load zoneloader then load the game with zoneloader.

Hey, Thanks very much for the reply. Excuse my complete ignorance, but how do you use the zoneloader software? Do you just burn it to DVD-R and use it as normal with the swap magic?

Yeah, burn zoneloader to a DVD (get the DVD .iso version) Boot Swap Magic, swap it for zoneloader, swap zoneloader for MLB 2k6.. Works perfect then..
