i was trying to use shrink for 8 below and received a cycle redundancy error. does anyone know how to get by this

Usually means 1 of 2 things. Either the disc is dirty or scratched or you have a bad press of the disc. Clean it and try again. If that does not work you need a new disc.

Hello Kelam.

The disk may have more than the basic copy protection. Try AnyDVD running in the background with DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter used for ripping or DVDFab Decrypter by itself for ripping and see if that solves your problem.

it could also mean that shrink has encountered a newer encryption it cannot circumvent, which means you will need something like AnyDVD etc running in the background to break the newer codes
