Does this mean that i can put any network SIM card in the phone and it will work? Even in the UK?

As long as the frequencies are compatible. I believe the 6103 is a tri-band 850/1800/1900 MHz (www.nokia.com to confirm) UK uses 900/1800 MHz. Best to find a pre-paid sim in UK that works with 1800 MHz for travel.

the nokia.com site says the 6103

does this mean i could put a pre pay Virgin sim card in the phone in England and it would work?

That is real confusing. So if it can be used in almost all of the continents why isnt the phone quadband...confusing....
