firmware 2.5 + 2.6 hacked (some what)

according to psp-hacks.com it will be possible to run kernal mode on 2.5 and 2.6 if you have gta:lcs (which i do :D)...in other words fw 1.5 and 2.6 will be equivalents and the only people that will have to get the modchip will be the people who upgraded to 2.7
and to think i was going to preorder a modchip

It will never be the equivalent to a 1.5. Trust me, there's so much more that has to be done for 2.6 to allow it to come within a mile of 1.5.

If devhook works or iso loader works on a 2.6 then screw the rest of 1.5 capabilities cuz nothing is as important.
And i almost upgraded to 2.7 the other day to watch flash and play LOco Rocco....
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

BUt its true. Isos is the main reason ppl have a 1.5. Im sure you wouldnt enjoy urs as much if isos didnt work. But Im not gonna jinx it so i will stay quiet from now on. BUt i will keep my fingers crossed for isos.

And why would 2.60 not be able to run ISO's? Am no expert but if Kernel mode is open on 2.50/60 then it will be very likely that there will be ISO loaders.

Because Fanjita deeply despises ISOs and will code his eLoader so that no ISO Loaders work with it. Also, there's only one coder who would even think of coding an ISO Launcher for the eLoader and he's "gone".

I understand where you're going with this thirst but if you've been following the news Fanjita was quoted as saying,
"With this exploit you will have the total funcionality of a 1.5 user on a 2.5.2.6 firmware."
Sounds like iso loaders are highly likely to me. The proof of concept is out and already tested. Full access to kernal mode is what currently seperates 1.5 from all other firmware so this will definatly level the playing feild so to speak.

Yea, but Fanjita codes the eLoader. Being that he codes the eLoader and he's anti-piracy, he'll code it so that it won't run ISO Loading apps.
Edit: There will never be the full functionality of 1.5 on a 2.6. Never may be a strong word, but I can gurantee it.

If Fanjita wont do isos then some one els might be able to. Fanjita isnt the only one.. he wasnt even the one who found the hack anyways it was the two other dudes according the the link on the first post. It will bound to happen eventually.
