Go to My Computer and see if your PSP is under that.
You only live once and I'm gonna drink and smoke it away.

If you put the PSP into USB mode and go into My Computers, it should show up as a Removeable Disk. Windows XP should recognize it, without you having to install any Drivers.

Damn, I honestly don't know. Maybe the USB cable is shot or you have USB 1.1.

I know that this is extremely stupid and you're not this dumb, but do you have a memory stick in the PSP?
No, that wasn't an insult. I'm just trying to eliminate every possible thing to narrow the problem down.

You need to have a memory stick in the PSP when you connect it via USB.

So if i don't have a memory stick, it won't let me access it and upload files to it??
and also it won't let me charge the PSP?

You can charge the PSP, just not via USB. Use the wall charger.
But yea, without a memory stick it won't let you access the PSP and upload files to it.
