online problems anyone?

i have a few different games that i've been able to play online no problem.
however, every once and a while i am unable to connect at all and get the message 'connection timed out'. Even my online setup disc is unable to connect or perform diagnostics. Every time i get this problem, it seems to fix itself over a couple of hours to a day.
I don't play online that often, and i've experienced this problem quite a few times. I'm assuming that the DNAS server might be performing maintenance or something, but it seems to always take much longer than expected to connect again.
i've pretty much ruled out any problems that might be from my router or ISP, seeing as this seems to occur randomly, and when all my other connections are working fine.
Anyone else have this problem? Is it something i should worry about?
