Well Hitachi's have a hard time reading if the disk is not burned & read as DVD-ROM so I think this may be your issue, well I'll be waiting for your results when you get your new drive friday :)

ALL I SEE IS..
sx-gowu
sx-gowu.r01
sx-gowu.r02
sx-gowu.r03.. till sx-gowu.r68.. and followed by..
sx-gowu.rar & sx-gowu.sfv... and that's it
is it already patched? do i just burn it directly with cloneCD?
if not patched.. how do i do patch it?
[im new at this so please help...] :( help!! im poor :p.. seriously help me!! ASAP

I think I posted this already but I do not see it there so here it goes again. I am having problems with Def Jam Icon NTSC. I renamed the file with notepad and got it to work in CloneCD but it failed on me twice!
I unrared it, opened it with notepad went to edit changed the name to the correct one, then clicked on save. loaded into clone cd and it failed. Please somebody tell me if they got this to work. Is there something i did wrong? This is BigMike23 on the newsgroups so Holla back at your boy please I need to play this game thanks.

Guys I'm in the process of burning a game and it's been stuck at 52% for over 10 minutes now....I did it as 2x write speed and it was slow as hell.....I don't want to cancel it and lose my disc.
Oh hey look the peice of shit thing went to 100% all of a sudden and gave an error what a waste of a fucking disc.

Well cancel that DVD cause it is done.
Hey guys I got it to work All I did was rename the one file and did it with IMGBURN which i got today and it worked one try. Also I tried Nba Homecourt which was not working for me with clone cd, and it worked! So now my question is why weren't they working with clone cd> And both games are EA wonder if that has anything to do it. Thank you to all those who helped me I really appreciate the help. Will I be able to use my benq dl dvd burner to back up xbox 360 games? Or will only the pioneer drive work for them?

Your burner will be fine. The pioneer drive is great but is not necessary. I use the POS that came with my laptop, doesnt even support bit setting, and have not made a single coaster.

what if your game is over 5.5 GB and it wont fit on the blank DVD
is there anyway to lower it down or rebuild it?
I downloaded Test Drive and the file is 7 GB and i dont think it will fit on the disc help?!

You need to do more research because you may have a hard time burning 360 games if you don't even know that a 7GB file is to go on DVD9.

ok im having major problems burning backups. Every one i burned made clicking noises when i put it in my 360 but after cycling the tray a few times they would work,until now. When i put the backed up games in it would start to read it then make the clicking noises and come up open tray or unreadable disk. I tried burning a backup 3 times and none work. I have a hitachi drive and i burn them with imgburn using verbatims on 2.4x.iv also tried 4x. any help would be appreciated.

This may sound odd, but it worked for me. When i got my flashed 360 back from my friend, everything worked for a day, then stopped. The cause of this was the dvd-rom drive not ejecting properly. When you open the dvd-rom, make sure to pull it out manually till it wont open anymore, then insert the game. It worked for me perfectly, after a couple times i dont need to pull the drive out anymore. Im not sure if this applies to you, but it worked for me.

Hey ok i just got sonic from Utorrent and it has 72 parts to it all named dnl-son.072 except the number part it from 1 to 72 and there are 2 other files named dnl-son.nfo and revolver.nfo just wondering how i go to copy this to dual layer and do i need to patch it or is there a way for me to see if its patched? thanks.

Unrar the files.
You can check if the game is patched using xbox backup creator,
And you can burn using, clonecd, imgburn, xbox backup creator

Can someone tell me what defines a coaster? Is it purely something that will not boot up, or something that plays for a while then locks up?
I have only tried back ups of my 2 games and they both boot fine but lock up at a definite point in the game. I have:
a 360 with 4.2a firmware and sammy drive
Samsung SH-D162C with Kreon 0.81
Acer notebook with LG GSA-4082N DVD DL writer
Verbatim x2.4 DL media
Ripped using XBC, burned using Imageburn (through XBC)
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I believe there called coasters because thats what they can be used for,
Coaster disks are usless and will not work so u mayaswell put your drink on it to stop it marking the table.

None of them have the extension .rar they are all end in with a number froe x. dnl-son.001 do i need to rename that to .rar?
on all of them? also how do i use XBox Backup-creator to tell if it is patched sry for the noob questions :)

Im guessing the files are somethign like .001, .002, .003, etc etc
Double click the 001 file, WinRAR should open
And you can extract it like that.
To check what patches are on disk using Xbox Backup Creator click on the IMAGE TOOLS tab,
Then click the STEALTH CHECK button,
Choose the image (.001 file)
Double click the image and the check will start.
