You dont have to bitset to DVD-ROM
Pioneer 111d is already burning DVD+R DL as DVD-ROMS
Does it get to 100% before giving you the error?
Or does it just jump to 100% when the error message pops up
Try using xbox backup creator

Do you have to have the Samsung DVD-ROM (I have a Lite-On) in order to be able to back up 360 games?

Also, once your drive is flashed, is it ready to play backups? Or is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks for your help

No you don't have to have a Samsung in order to backup 360 games you can use many different PC DVD burners to get the job done. After your Xbox 360 drive is flashed it can play backups theres nothing more you have to do.

I'd reccommend the Pioneer 111D OR you can use this LG burner(I use this burner) it works perfectly for burning 360 games and recognizes plenty of different media. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827136103

Hey guys let me run something passed you guys. I noticed the other day.... I downloaded and iso, used Xbox backup creator to do the stealth check. It failed the stealth check, I tried to burn the game it did not work, so i went into my doc. and deleted that file and unrared it again this time I loaded it right into cloneCD and it worked. So my question is by attempting the stealth check and it failing now the iso is no good? Also from what i am reading if the stealth check fails then that means I need to find the ss file(on my own) and use SS merger? Also can somebody break the whole thing down to me. I know all the basics and pretty much what to do,it is just that now since I chech the files with the XBox creator everything seems more completed. And most of the games i DL it says Video is valid, then it will say DMI and ?MI failed! Like what are all of those file specifically for. Also once I use the SS merger that takes care of all FILES right? Thanks guys. And I do not know if it was me or not byut imgburn has burned 3 games for me that cloneCD failed and I followed the same steps. Later guys!

I believe I've already told someone in this thread how to do it, but I'll tell you again...

use clonecd, put the disc in the dvd drive and select read to image file...that will put the image on your hdd along w/ a .dvd file...then open the .dvd file in clonecd and burn.

I don't Usenet, it uses me.

Finally got the drive on Monday was ready to get going, opened up the box and started screaming.. wtp? I ordered a Pioneer-111D they sold me a Pioneer-112D firmware 1.09!
Went ahead and burn one anyway, since Pioneer supposed to burn automatically as DVD-ROM.
Used Xbox Backup Creator
Memorex DVD+R DL disc
Select xbox360 option from XBC.
Select .dvd file
Start burning.. and whoala, it worked! So yes all a long it was my Sony burner. Thanks for all the help guys..let the burning begins. ;-)

Check the .nfo (if its downloaded)
Run the stealth check in Xbox Backup Creator

If you ripped the game from original then it'll be patched with everythign you need.

after running Stealth Check, it says:

"Video is Valid!
PFI Failed. Unknown Data.
DMI is present.
SS is present.
Stealth Check Failed"

What can I do to fix this, so I don't make a coaster?

most times the nfo will tell you...you can check if a 360 image is ss & stealth patched by using Xbox Backup Creator

I don't Usenet, it uses me.

So this is the deal, after many unsuccessful attempts to burn XBOX 1 games on a DVD-5 and trying them on my X360 I found out why I have a Hitachi drive. I heard that if you burn them on a DVD-DL it should work fine on a Hitachi, so my question is that if you burn them just like a normal X360 game will it work? I am using a Flashed Hitachi DVD drive and a LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4120B DVD burner.
