I have an LG 4163B with firmware 1.05 which it says somewhere that works however with in seconds of attempting to burn a disk with either cd copy or imgburn i get an error and then a coaster.
This is so annoying xbox games were so much easier.

I know that Zephyr hasn't come out yet, but do you think that I would still be able to do it. Also, I'm sorry if this was mentioned before, but do you need a mod chip to play the games?

lol didnt really understand th question, but i think you were wondering what in the world i was saying. :) well i was wondering why we would have to use a double layer disc when microsoft's dvd's are regular dvd's (I.E. They dont need to be double layered). so i was wondering if microsoft has bigger SINGLE LAYER dvd's than consumers can buy. do you folllow me? lol its hard to explain.

No, there's a new version of the X-Box 360 now. Search it on Google, X-Box 360 Zephyr. I was wondering if these instructions work for that system. I also needed to know if i need a mod chip to play downloaded games.

Dual Drives: 16x DVD-ROM Drive + 16x DVD+/-RW
This is all the information that I got with my computer about optical drives. Can they write dual layer DVDs? I bought this computer about a month ago if that helps.

if the size of the game is bigger than 4.7 GB than the retail game will come on a dual layer disc. the reason backups need dual layer discs is because the hacked firmware looks for the security sector on the 2nd layer.

most likely yes. download dvdinfo pro and find out. make sure the drive is selected in the drop down below and click on the Drive icon on the top, if it supports writing dual layer you'll see a check next to DVD+R DL.

I don't Usenet, it uses me.

I thought it would too. The only thing is that on the front of the drive it doesn't say DL anywhere. I have to wait until April to download it because I exceeded my bit cap already.

djrino,

Openly admitting downloading a game is blatant piracy. We don't need to nor do we want to know how or where you got your game.

yes, the 112 would work great...in fact any burner that can burn dual layer and can bitset to dvd-rom will work.

on a side note, pioneers autobit set dual layer media to dvd-rom so less work involved when burning, I'd recommend the 112.

I don't Usenet, it uses me.

What the hell are you on about here?
Lets just do a quick comparison yeah, Tweeder - Member , then theres you
djrino - newbie. do you notice anything there?
I think tweeder knows what hes on about ok!

In you own words you say
Quote:

Ok, well to start off with that hardly makes sense.
The tutorial has worked fine for me and many others,
If you think its explained badly your obviously not following it right

None of you actual post makes sense to me
so if your gonna have a go at someonem and deem there tutorail to not be very good, actually forward your point, with reasons that people can understand, would be alot easier for all of us.

I think you need to read the tutorial again,
Or if you still dont thinks its explained very well. . .
. . . GOOGLE

Sorry but people like that really annoy me!

End Of Rant

tell u the truth this tutorial sucks. i'll will contact a mod when i have time about unsticking this.

this was good when the scene just started when ppl didn't know how to patch .iso, but now ALL .iso's are patched. If you are doing a backup, this doesn't even tell you how to flash or backup your games, it just tells you how to merge a ss with the .iso using a program.

times have changed and this is obsolelte, we need a better all around guide to help the newbies.
