I hae done as instucted opened my pc and set it as master followed the information on the link and still no option for bitsetting. HELP

Hi guys, I'm a newbie to this all! I have downloaded a game and have the .iso and .dvd files. I've installed CloneCD V5.2, when i attach the .dvd and attempt to burn within the first few seconds i receive a "Writing to _NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG failed!" message. I was wondering if it is my NEC ND-3500AG burner at fault. Do I have to purchase a new burner? Could anyone please help?

again, pioneer drives auto bitset dual layer media...IT'S DONE AUTOMATICALLY, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO MANUALLY BITSET.
The dma/pio setting I suggested was because it sounded like that may have been the problem.
You might wanna inspect the IDE cable on your dvd writer and/or replace the cable w/ a new one.
Also, make sure you don't have any apps open, other than your burning program, when burning the game...it may be a memory issue.

1) Make sure dma, not pio, is enabled for the drive and it's the master, not slave, on your primary ide channel.

2) You might wanna see if there's an update for your computer/mobo bios.

hi, i have an xbox360 NTSC console and most games available to download are in the PAL format. I have modded my xbox so burnt games should work. will the downloaded PAL games work on my console??

i have successfully burned every game i tried that had a .dvd file with clonecd but when i have a .000 file and use clonecd, the game is never recognized by the 360.
1. do i have to use xbox backup creator for .000 files?
2. and how long does it usually take because i burned a backup of nba 2k7 overnight and when i woke up the finish time with xbox backup creator was 6 1/2 hours(clone cd is about 35 minutes or so at 2.4x) but the game does work.

Hi there,
Using this tutorial, I've been able to download, burn, and play 360 games. I use Verbatim Dual Layer media, and burn at 2.4x on my Pioneer drive using CloneCD.
I've found some games that are XBOX1 games, converted to XBOX360. These games have a file size well under 4GB. Is it possible to use a single layer media for these games? Or will my Pioneer drive not bitset if using single layer?

if you have a sammy drive and you're using the latest firmware, you'll be able to burn xbox 1 games to a single layer disc and play it.

thanks alot ...i will download imgburn...but you wouldnt know if there is a way you can get cdclone for free or i just got Nero 7 software

Good morning Chappies...
Having read through this tutorial I have attempted to burn a couple of 360 games using different media, and both have failed to be read in a hacked 360. I have tried some cheapo dual layers which failed (no surprises there) and then I tried Ritek Dual layers (a friend has a couple of dual layers that he has got 360 games on on ritek's and they work fine on his (hmmm). I am using an NEC ND-3530A burner, with firmware 3.01 and bitsetting set to DVD-Rom. I have tried both CloneCD and ImageBurn, both giving the same results.
The only 2 areas that I can think of are the burner or the DVD's, and I know that people recommend Verbatim's, but man they are expensive (actually, on reflection i've spent more on stuff that doesnt work lol).
I'm not green where computers are concerned, however this is frustrating the hell out of me.

make sure that the games are patched w/ security sector. assuming you downloaded your games, buckup and get the verbs....you're getting the games for free for christ's sake! furthermore, shitty media is bad for the laser.
as far as your burner's concerned
1) try burning @ a slow(er) speed
2) Make sure dma, not pio, is enabled for the drive and it's the master, not slave, on your primary ide channel.

One quick question guys, i'm sure i read somewhere that you don't need to stealth patch games when using the new Xtreme 5.2 firmware. Is this true can anyone confirm?

you don't need stealth for a game to work, you just need the security sector.

Thanks for the reply.....
dma is set correctly and the dvd burner is the master and not slave, however it is on the secondary IDE channel as the HD drive is on the primary. When I swapped the cables over so that the dvd was on the primary, it caused my pc to break (long continuous beep, over and over again, which is a DRAM problem)
Onto the backup pc now :( (had to cadge it back off the step son)
I'll get some verbatims next week. What I will say is that when the disc is put into a 360, the drive tries to read, and then the dashboard appears. If you put an original or other burned disc in, when the 360 tries to read the disk, it says "the disc must be put in a 360 console" and the only fix is to turn it off and back on? Is this normal?

Hello me again. Got over my initial problem it would appear it was a bad rip. I've also read that it is possible to play games whose image is moless than that of a dvd+r9.
Does this need a certain make of disk like the 8-9 gig images or will any +R media do
