That's the exact message i get. Are there any other settings i must change? Sorry about this, i'm a real noob, it's the win rar .iso file i should be burnin right?

My best guess is that your burner doesnt support DVD DL media. You positive it can?

Yeh it says DVD+R DL, are there no other settings that need changing?
And is it worth buying some better quality DVD's?

Hi there! Read tons of info on this tutorial and still having problems:
Downloaded Tenchu, already patched (checked on xbox backup creator)
Checking Stealth Compatibility
Video is questionable*
PFI is present
DMI is present
SS is present
Stealth Check Passed!
burned with NEC-ND 6650A at 1X with IMGBURN on ridata DL, checked layer break ok, DVD was verified, samsung drive already flashed, i also inserted the game on a normal DVD and received the "TO VIEW THIS DVD PUT IT ON AN XB0X 360 CONSOLE..." bla bla bla
puted in on my 360, and says the disc is DIRTY OR SCRATCHED, what im doing wrong? THANKS

what works for me is clonecd. only time i have a prob with clonecd is when i use quick par to repair the rar files of some incomplete ones. for those i use imgburn and it works great. xbc always freezes half way for me no clue why it happens.

Ya, it's frozen on me a couple of times while reading...never writing. I just went into the options tab and slowed the read speed to 8x instead of 12x. No problems since.

Hello all. First of all: congrats for this tut.
Now, here goes some fundamental questions:
1. Types of Rips: Is there a way to find out what type of rip was used on a ISO file if you don´t have the nfo file?
2. If you are going to use SS Merger, you will need the .bin file. The address indicated on the tut is not working. Where to get the right bin file?
Problem: I have followed the tut 100%. I got a game that says on the .nfo that it´s ready to burn using CloneCD. I´ve done that. But I put the CD on XBOX and it does not recognize it. Maybe, the ISO was not ripped and I need to do that.
So, we are back to the previous questions:
How to check if a iso file needs to be ripped or not, if you don´t have the NFO?
And since I will need to rip it, where to get .bin files?

I dowload the correct SS, then put in merger and merge..

I need help burning an image i downloaded. I can´t find out how to burn it because the large file (7 gbytes) is a .000 file which i don't know what type of file it is, and then I have a small .dvd file, those two in one folder. In another folder i have 3 .bin files named dmi, pfi and ss.
I can see that the .000 file is an image because I could opened it in ISObuster, and i can see the VIDEO_TS folder, but i don't know how to extract them. I can't get to open the .000 image with any writing software.
Any help would be appreciated

open the .dvd file w/ imgburn and burn to a dual layer DVD-R (this has been explained a million times in this thread already).

Just to let you know, my Forza 2 deidn't work with the crappy DVD's i bought but worked with Verbatims :D. Can i just ask, i'm downloading another game, if it has a .rar, does this mean that contains the .ISO and therefore doesn't need patching?

Man i found some guide for Xtreme firmware update for Xbox 360 that looked hard as hell!!! Is there any easier way to patch my xbox so i can play downloaded games?

you can download Xbox 360 SS merger 1.7b here:

also, you can download security sectors and stealth files here:
http://www.360patches.com/
however, I'd use Xdvdmulleter to insert all of your bin files..you can download it from 360 Patches.

Damn it, ive just made 3 new shiny frisbees
I burned fight night and it tells me to put the disc into an xbox 360(it's already in there). On another disc, it played it like it was a dvd movie. What am I doing wrong?
could it be the download(it says it's already patched)
any help would be appreciated

I have downloaded a game for xbox 360,but im not sure how to burn it.I got a lot of packed files that can be opened with deamon tool,so i think there are images, in the firs packed file there is an image file that is .iso in others there is nothing windows can read and there is alsow a dvd file,on the game info it seays that the game is pripatched SYSTEM_________; XBOX360

REGiON/COUNTRY_; PAL
RELEASE_DATE___; 02/11/2006

We forgot to rar the .dvd file with .iso, so we put it as a separate
.rar file. Sorry for the trouble. so could anyone please tell me how to burne it from there. Thank you in advanced.

I must admit, a bit of information on what you have actually done would be advantageous. Obviously, try the normal things that have been suggested many many times on here.....Use verbatims, burn at 2 speed, use Clone CD, etc etc. Without actually knowing what media you are using, we would be guessing. Also, is the game pre-patched, or is it a straight iso copy off an original?

yeah the game is prepacthed
I'm using memorex dl dvds with imgburn
and I have the bitsetting to dvd rom
Do you think it could be the discs? because I have burned games on memorex that I bought and they work fine.
