hursty in the 360 section o.O

Screw clonecd and .dvd files, set up imgburn correctly and just load the image. Much simpler and a better burning app to boot in my opinion.

Or even easier than that,

just use Xbox Backup Creator,
click the xbox 360 image button, open your image and burn

simple!

hi again....sorry for being such a pain but hey every person has his problems...anyway if you put a DVD+R in your 360 will it read it and if its empty what it will going to say because when i insert the DVD after reading it it says "Open Tray". I know it has to be DVD+R DL but i just wanted to check if my chip works

what are you asking there?

are you asking what happens if you put a blank dvd+r in your xbox 360?

yes but i was only asking this because at the time i don't have any dual layer DVDs and i recently chipped my 360 and i wanted to verify only if the chip works....i wondered if ,now, my 360 could read pirated games what it would do

if you put a blank disk into the xbox 360 itll make a not too good sound, and it will jsut say open tray on the dashboard,

the only way you can really test if the chip is working is buy putting in a "backup!!!!" and hoping it plays

no one on this forum pirates games (laffs), its not very good!

Ok maybe thats true,

but just call it a backup,

many people call there games this but they may not be 100% truthful, but you dont wanna get in trouble with the mods now do you.

Appreciate some help with Xbox Backup Creator....

Have a Samsung DVD drive with Kreon firmware, while trying to make a backup copy of Def Jam Icon, it came up with an "unknown partition" error and cause the program to abort..........

What do I need to do to cure this problem ??

Thanks for the help in advance.

Quick question, i downloaded and successfully burnt it. But when i put it in my 360 sometimes it would load and sometimes it would say open tray. I follow the CloneCD instruction and put it on 2x-2.4x burn speed. Is there a way to make it more stable and load every time?

LOL no, you can use toshiba or shitachi....ixtreme firmwares have been released for both drives....as far as a burning drive, just make sure it can burn dual layer +R and supports bitsetting.

I don't Usenet, it uses me.

ok i have a few questions
1. if i have a flashed 360 with ixtreme firmware how would i burn a game so that it would be stealth patched, is there a specific way?

2.if i have the original game and would like to make a backup, how would i do it without a Kreon drive?

3.what the heck is bitsetting and does this drive do it,http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16827106055 ?

4.all i have is that dvd drive (see question 3), and my xbox 360 can i even think about doing this?

Ok, so i've been burning 360 iso's for like a year... i have never really had any problems, only bad iso's and accidental PALs... so just recently i installed vista... didn't care for it to much, a few of the programs i use a lot weren't compatible yet... so i switched back to xp... after i did this i keep burning coasters... or at least my 360 isn't liking them... i am using a Pioneer 111D and verbatim DLDVDs... i know its not my iso's because i tried burning them on my friends computer and they came out fine... is this common after an OS reinstall? something to do with vista being on my system?

Has anyone had any luck burnind with an nec 3500a and memorex dvds? I'm pretty stumped at the moment. the first disk i burnt (GOW) works perfectly. Everything other then that will not load or will load after 10 minutes and sort of freeze. It's definetly having issues reading the dics as i can hear the drive tracking back and forth.

Tried using a dl burner in my new laptop with the same results. Tried changing the booktype. Burnt the .iso with nero and the dvd fiels with image burn (at different time :) trying to rule things out)

I haven't used the ss patching yet as everything i've aquired already has the .dvd file in it... It's stupid.. GOW works flawlessly.. 10 discs after this had failed.

I'm going to try new media and see...

Any thoughts in the meantime would be appreciated.

Is there still no way to burn a game that will work w/o modding the 360?

I'd rather not gut my 360 but if it has to be done....\

Oh yeah, burning with a brand new Toshiba laptop (not external dvd burner) and using HP DLDVD+R....

Eh eh?
