hi,,
can someone tell me how to do a .dvd file!,, i have the .iso file 7.05gb but no .dvd file ,i heard you can do it with notepad ?,how,, thanks for any info!
p.s. about dvd+r dl 8.5gb 2.4x i use verbatim also,,,but i use some brand called GQ (great quality) 15 pc for 16$ and they work,also...

I have followed all the instructions to burn the game, but when i should start it stands "Mixed media disc". What am i doing wrong plz help me!

open notepad and enter something like this
LayerBreak=1913760
<name of iso>
save it as <iso name>.dvd
I don't Usenet, it uses me.

i use img burn with 8.5gb dl discs
in imgburn- go to
tools-settings-write- right side check user define and put sum 1913760
and the open file and burn,,worked for me...

I use clone CD. Im trying to burn halo 3, i get half winrar rar files and the rest just rar, i have one nfo file and one dvd file. I have unrared the rar files so i have one iso file with 7.4 GB. Then i put it in clone CD:s iso folder and mark my samsung burner and start to burn the game. Then the burning be a succes but when im putting my CD in my XBox 360 it just stands "mixed media disc"
Im starting to get crazy and maybe give up but i dont want to...
Plz help me

you should have 2 files .dvd file and .iso file

you need both files!,but both files needs to have the same name and in the same folder,,
and when you burn with imgburn the program will pick the .dvd file,,,
so in the folder you will have something like this format:
game.dvd >>>this is the .dvd
game >>>this is the .iso

SpeedX100 did you change the download source for your games, did you switch unraring software (use winrar)

hi mate, no i didnt change download source of unraring software (i used mininova.org) iv tried un-installing drivers and re-installing with no success??!! Thanks in advance.
p.s. tried the burns I made in a pals xbox and still no worky poo's

well if both your 360's are running custom firmware then am sure you come to the same conclusion i have, it's not the firmware!!DUH!!
make sure "BACKUP" *ahem* download you have is a not corrupted, burn with clone cd and MAKE SURE YOU BOOK TYPE SETTINGS ARE CORRECT(DVD-ROM), was your game pre-patched, if not as this guide explains you need the S.S file to merge with the game before you burn it, make sure your current firmware supports the game you have,
btw is you 360 playing other burnt games

hello,
have burned 4 isos with no problems using dvd+r dl verbatims. my dvd burner is a pioneer 112d and my xbox is chipped and the games run. i used ss merger1.7b to get the security code. and then used the .dvd file with clonecd with no problems until now. 3 isos mass effect,beautiful katamari,and bladestorm in the ss merger program it says the isos are too big. i thought i would try anyhow to nme patch it. they come out all three at 7.29 gigs as the other 4 were all 7.17 gigs. when i tried bladestorm clonecd stops and says burn failed on pioneer 112d. burning at 2.4 or lower. and i have only tried bladestorm so far but that they all come out at 7.29 does that mean something? am i doing something wrong what is going on? oh and it seems that the burns stop at 25 minutes where a normal burn is like 40 minutes. thanks in advance for your help.

Can someone please help me with burning the XBOX 360 Games onto the DVD+R DL. I have read many threads and followed all the instructions but no matter what I do I still get that screen which says "To Play that disk you need to put it in the Xbox 360 Console" in many languages.
I have downloaded the game. I have 2 files after I unzip it. 1 is an ISO file the other is the DVD file. I have burned the ISO file onto the disk and when I put in the disk into the XBOX 360 console I get that message. I have also burned the DVD file and got the same thing. I have already wasted 3 DVDs trying to figure this out and all of them give me the same screen.
There is no other information on the CD. Just the AUDIO TS folder and VIDEO TS folder. I used CloneCD and ImageBurn and got the same results over and over.
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? When I tried using the SS Merger 1.50 and browsed for my ISO file, then clicked on "Detect" after about 10 minutes I get a big screen with errors about the Video Partition or the lack of it to be exact.
When I downloaded the rar file there was no ss.bin file there.
PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE IT OUT! I AM VERY NEW AT THIS AND AM TRYING TO BURN MY FIRST GAME. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT TO DO OR NOT TO DO TO GET IT TO WORK??

you said that you burnning the iso?,, well you have to burn the .dvd file and not the iso ,,
i use imgburn and i have no proablems,,but make sure your settings are right ,,speed 2.4x,and both files .iso and .dvd in the same folder.. hope this helps

bs2713-you have the xtreme firmware installed right, if not then do so, you didn't mention it so i thought you may not have done this step(happens quite often to noobs),

you can download hacked firmware from xbins
google xbins, there's instructions on xbox-scene on how to connect to the ftp site

Im getting the exact same problem as bs2713 and have no idea what i am doing wrong. I have followed multiple tutorials but no success. I have not tried the merging or anything with the ss.bin files so maybe that is it? Ive heard you have to have a special drive to burn them. Not a DL drive because i already have one of those but a particular 1. a pioneer something or other?
Help would be appreciated

With the release of the latest xtreme firmwares for the XBox360 it is now possible to download and play full games on all versions of XBox360. You should only download and burn backups of games you already own. I'm not taking any blame if you get arrested, fined, or deported.
Needed Tools:
* XBox 360 w/ XTreme Firmware Update
* DVD+R Dual Layered Blank DVD
* Burner Capable Of Burning Dual Layered DVDs
* CloneCD
* XBOX360 SS Merger 1.5o from here.
First your going to download your games from wherever you get your stuff. I personally use newsgroups, it seems to be the fastest and most reliable source for getting anything. You need to check the game first to see what kind of rip it is. Straight rips of the games don't work yet so you need to find the ones that can be patched, or if your lucky already patched. This tutorial will show you how to patch the games if needed. The easiest way to check what kinda rip is to check the .nfo file that comes with almost every game.
Types Of Rips:
-Straight Rips: At this time these are impossible to do anything with. I group by the name of Pi has been releasing these lately. They are of no use at the current time though.
-Xtreme Rips (Not Patched): These are good rips that just need to be patched with the correct .bin file. I'll explain where to get these, and how to patch the files. After patched you can then burn it and it'll boot no problem.
-Xtreme Rips (Pre Patched): These files are the easiest to use, they come in .rar format like both other rips, the difference is you just have to unrar and burn. No patching required. This is the fastest way.
Note: Skip to step 2 if you have a prepatched iso.
1. Your going to have to patch the game to work correctly, without a patch the XBox360 won't know how to handle the game. Your going to need XBOX360 SS Merger 1.5o to do this. Open the program and load your iso. When it asks to check the MD5 hit yes, it'll take a few minutes, its a pretty big file.It will then produce an MD5 number for you. You want to load your ss.bin file that came with the game, if it didnt come with the game visit http://www.ubclass.org/X360SS/sslist.htm to get the ss.bin file you need. Load the file.If both boxes are green and the numbers match, that is the correct file you need to patch. Hit the big huge button on the right side of the program to patch the file. Again, this will take a few minutes, it's a huge file.It will then tell you it's finish and you can load the file that it outputs.
2. Open up Clone CD, anything above version 5 should work. Simply hit the second button to open and image file and select your new iso. It should load without problem. You will need a dual layered DVD+R to burn, your 360 won't read any other format correctly. Also, make sure you burn at 2x or close as possible so your game is readable and doesn't skip. This is very important.
3. Put the game in your XBox360 and enjoy. You can even play on XBox Live without a single problem.

I'd like to add that you don't have to use Clonecd...you can, and IMO, should use Imgburn...plus it's free!

I have no idea where you can buy pre-flashed 360's, but if you need the iXtreme fw it can be found on xbins....google "xbins tutorial" to find out how to connect to the ftp site.

hi, I finnally found an PRO EVO soccer 2008 ss file, but when I load it up with the SS Merger the box is Red
And how can I tell if my ISO is already Patched?
