get xdvdmulleter, click on the Load From File tab and open your ISO, make sure there are checks in all the boxes under Xtreme Compatibility...if so, you're good....don't f*ck w/ that ss merger shit.

Ive been trying to burn halo 3 for a couple of days now and I am at my wits end.
I have a 360 which works perfectly with other games, but the halo3 disk always says mixed media disc.
I have tried both imgburn and clonecd, and both are giving me the same problem.
after reading through the thread, i noticed that the .dvd file in the same folder as the .iso had the following info in it:
LayerBreak=1913760
Bone.iso
while the iso file is named ccclx-halo3.iso
according to gehx's post, changing the info in the .dvd file to:
LayerBreak=1913760
ccclx-halo3
saving the file as ccclx-halo3.dvd and having the ccclx-halo3.iso in the same folder should solve the problem. I am using verbatim disks that have not given me problems in the past. The file is properly patched and everything (checked using dvdmulleter). I don't want to waste anymore (already burned through 4 of them) before trying again. If anyone could give me any advice it would help a lot

Yer Hi, excuse me because I am a virgin at this, but I was just wondering, so origonal 360 games cannot be copied yet, only games downloaded from a newsgroup. Is this correct? And can clonedvd be obtained for free.
p.s i have to start somewhere, thanks

according to the info you provided the name of the file is ccclx-halo3.iso...so your .dvd file should be:
LayerBreak=1913760
ccclx-halo3.iso

Hello. I just had the nme 2.0 modchip installed professionally on my 36 elite system (hitachi 79)and it just returned to me today. I just tried to make a backup of the first game i grabbed, viva pinata. I used img burn to rip from a krean .81 drive, merged the SS bin i got from xbc to the iso file using nme associator, then burned the image to a verbatem 8x dvd+r dl disk at 2x speed using imgburn on my pioneer dvr 110D. Now in the directions to use imgburn it says to click the "change booktype" icon and select dvd+r DL under the drive you have but unfortunately i have a pioneer dvr 110d which was found to be just fine with compatability. After everythings good and burned the 360 reads it as mixed media disc.
When I chose to burn the .iso from nero (just clicked burn image nothing else checked or unchecked), the 360 goes to a screen saying "to play this disc, put it in an xbox 360 console" in multiple languages
(update on the nero burn. After 360 restart the bar at the bottom says "play dvd and when pressed, goes to the "to play this disc, put it in an xbox 360 console screen".)
Currently trying clone CD
(update) clone cd caild and gave same results as the nero burn (play dvd then going to the please insert into xbox 360 screen)
Any clues as to why? Thanks

I don't know how to burn 360 game after reading this I still don't know how I paid for newsgroup and still don't know how to use is. I don't see how to choose the game I want to copy and I'm sorry but I'm confused I might need someone to call me and walk me thought and I'm sorry but I need to be spoon feed

"Bought" a game
Used Xbox Backup Creator -> Drive Tools -> Unlock Drive -> Made a rip
Used Xbox360 SS Merger 1.5 to Merge the iso with the .ss security file
Burnt the .dvd onto a DVD using CloneCD.
Disc gives "unplayable disc" error on Xbox360.

this has already been answered many times in this thread.....
I am trying to use XDVDMulleter but I'm not sure which SS file to choose from the list. When I ripped it using wxRipper and open it with SS Merger it says the Required SS is C99A74C555371A433D121F551D6C6398. Is there some piece of this list I need to use to find the right file? The game is Hour of Victory.

You will need one of the following DVD ROM with Kreon Firmware.
Kreon Firmware v1.00 for Samsung SH-D162C drives
Kreon Firmware v1.00 for Samsung SH-D162D drives
Kreon Firmware v1.00 for Samsung SH-D163A drives
Kreon Firmware v1.00 for Samsung SH-D163B drives
Download Schtrom360Xtract V3.4. You can get it from many Xbox360 sites. I will not post a link, because I am not sure of the rules on this kind of software here.
Get Slysoft CloneCD v5.3.1.0 or higher.
Close all programs. Do not run anything when ripping or burning your games.
Open Schtrom360Xtract
Select your DVD ROM drive.
Select your Image Path.
Set your Task whole disk (stealth xtreme 3.0 SplitVid)
Click Extract
Let it finish all the way through.
Click on Tools
Choose Stealth Check
Check Image Name
Click on the little square Select the image file of your game.
Select your image file
Open CloneCD
Click on the second image with the pencil touching the disc.
Click Browse and go to the folder your stored your task file in from Schtrom360.
Select the .dvd file.
Burn using Verbatim DVD+R DL. at the slowest burn speed possible.
Wait about 45 minutes for the disc to burn.
Should make a good copy of any game.
I cannot guarantee you will not be banned from Xbox Live with your backups, as of now no one knows the real cause of the last bandwave by M$.

Hi all. This is my first time posting here. I think I have successfully flashed my benq with ixtreme 1.4 and I want to test it with some pre-patched games. So far I know it plays originals. I have burned a DVD with Oblivion but when I put it in the xbox360 it comes up with unplayable disk. I am thinking of buying some Verbatims and trying it with a NEC burner, do you think that will do the trick. Is there any other way of testing it out? How reliable are the iso files found in newsgroups?

Hi there.
I was wondering if anyone out there could help me. I recently purchased an Xbox 360 it has the firmware to allow it to play copied games. I usually buy my games from a supplier that I have, but I'd like to start copying them myself.
My first and current attempt is Assassin's Creed, I downloaded the game via newsgroups and burnt it (using a LG GSA-H55N DVD Writer and CloneCd 5.3.0.1) onto a HP DVD+R DL disc and it seemed to work, but after about 2 hours of game play I got a unable to read disc message.
So I burnt it again and got the same result. I then did some more research and found out about this bit setting (book type) thing. I downloaded DVDInfoPro 4.634 and tried to set the Book Type to DVD-Rom and it gave me an error saying that the drive does not support bit setting.
I then burnt the game to disc again using the same hardware and media, but this time I used DVD Decrypter (I set the book type to DVD-Rom in the DVD Decrypter drive settings and it returned a message saying success), but the game would not even get to the menu screen of the game, it got stuck on the initial loading screen. So then I downloaded the firmware update for my drive, I flashed it successfully and then downloaded ImgBurn 2.3.2.0 I set the book type to DVD-Rom and burnt the disc, I got the same result as with DVD Decrypter. I then burnt it again using CloneCd ('cause I figured the firmware update might help) and got the same results as DVD Decrypter.
So now I'm sitting with 5 brand new coasters. So any help would be great, if it's the drive then fine I'll get another but I'm a little unsure of what brand/model to get. From the research I've done it sounds like my drive does support bit setting, but I'm still unsure. I've also seen that the pioneer 111d (1.23 FW) seems to be the preferred drive for copying 360 games.
Please help.

I downloaded virtua fighter 5, burned it and it came up as unreadable disk.
Where do I find patches, and how do I know if it needs to be patched or not for next time?

hey guys i have a problem and wanted to know if any one else has had this....

but i burn it off and im getting a ring at the start of my discs that looks like its not getting wrote on ... the ring is only about 0.5 of a mil or round about that but its not letting me play it just says open tray when ever it tries to load any one know why....
and i have used imgburn, nero, xboxbkup creator and all that so any one know plz... ty

What media are you using?, also have you tried Clone CD?, I have burnt many copies of that game and no problems

hmz, having a problem here..
burned my SMACKDOWN VS RAW for the 360 , used clonecd5.somethin, and burnt it at 2kbs..very slow,
when i enter the disc it says: clean this disk and restart?!(unregognized disc) i notice the noise the dvddrive in the xbox is more noisy then normal...
i used verbatin dvd+r duallayer like always, i have 27 games here working perfect, but this one i allready spend 2 dvds on,
most of the time i get the error imediatly after inserting the disc, but it also happens that when i try the disc, it goes to the next screen(black screen) and then i get the message
can anyone help me out plz?
