This can be done very easily once you have everything you need,

You will need a Samsung PC DVD Drive;
SH-D162C (IDE)
TS-H352C (IDE)
SH-D163A (SATA)
TS-H353A (SATA)

It will have to be flashed with Kreon Firmware,
You can get the Kreon Firmware from XBINS

You can also buy these types of drives ready flashed off ebay and by using google.
I found this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Samsung-SH-D162D-K...1QQcmdZViewItem

Once you have a flashed drive you can use computer software to rip Xbox 360 ISOs onto your PC.

Schtrom360Xtract is the software i use to rip games

Does anyone have alot of clicking noises (laser movement I assume) while playing burned games? I have a modded ben-q.

To my knowledge there are two things that make a drive noisy.
1) The 'whir' of the motor which spins the disk (which is always good with my ben-q)
2) A sort of clicking sound everytime the laser moves. (Rarely happens for regular discs, but constantly happens on my burned discs)

It sounds like a noisy hard drive, but I don't have one, just a mem card, I'm sure it's the cd drive. It sounds like the laser is constantly moving. Either it's constantly going between the 2 layers of the disc or it's moving the laser back to constantly re-read parts of the disc. I'm worried it's gonna burnout my drive. I use verbatim discs and have burned on 2 different drives including a pioneer. The games work perfectly though?

Anyone?

Hi there, i'm trying to back-up my original version of Assassin's Creed and so far have used the Wxripper method (as i have a hitachi) and it is flashed with Xtreme 1.4. I get the SS, PFI, DMI (Still not sure how to extract them manually rather than download them!?) used Mulleter to insert them into the iso file, then tried to burn the image to disc with both ImgBurn and CloneCD but both programs freeze (ImgBurn at 36% and CloneCD at 10% both at the stage of writing the layerbreak) I use Verbatim DVD+R DL discs so cant be that, i have made 2 coasters so far and dont want to make anymore! My DVD RW is a Sony DW-G120 (think its actually a Lite-On) and i know what your all going to say and that is to buy a Sammy with Kreon, i cant afford it untill i get paid, so please help me with my problem!!

Thanks.

Need your help guys. I have read plenty of the treads here however, I have just gotten more confused. so maybe someone can explain this to me. I have no problem burning the image or iso file games, but when I get an file with the extension .000 the games never work. After i burn this 000 files they say to play this game put it in an xbox 360 console. I have use the clonecd imgburn and xbox 360 creator without any luck. I repeat it only happens with 000 files. Can someone help me please. Is there a way to convert the 000 files to image files. Thanks

can i burn a xbox 360 game using dvd decrypter mode-iso-write?

is it nessasary to have a modchip to play a backup or is there another way to play a backup without a modchip, can someone tell me how i can play my backups without a modchip if it is possible?

when do i have to use xbox 360 ss merger 1.5o, when i extract a file or all the files to make an iso, or if i have it already into an iso?

@Rajj

You cannot use DVD Decrypter to burn Xbox 360 games without setting the layerbreak i think im not sure.

Use imgburn or xbox backup creator, and burn with the .dvd file.
This way your burner knows when to change layers on the disk.

You need a modchip to play Xbox 360 games yes,
but you can also use the firmware mod, probably the best mod created!

I followed your tutor to a T and I got a burn that says (when I put it in an already flashed xbox360)that the disc is dirty, to clean it and put it back in. I have a couple of questions for you guys.

1. Is there any software that can read the copy and tell me what is wrong with it?

2. I am using a top taken off drive in my computer which is a
Sony RU810A. Doe's this drive need to be flashed?

3. I am using Memorex DVD+R DL. Are these ok?

4. What is the best up to date tutor on the net for backing up games?

5. Does the Sony drive have to be set to
DVD-ROM and how do I do this.

Thanks for all your answers and help, much appreciated, and thanks for all your guys hard work in helping out.

You can use DVD Info Pro to set your drive to DVD Rom. Don't use Memorex. I bought them first, and I continued to get errors until I bought Verbatim's. Memorex's are a waste of money.

1. Clean the disc with a soft cloth.
2. Restart the console.

Ok for all you having problems, i was in your shoes a little while ago. Wasted 4 dual dvds myself, wasnt to happy about that, but thats besides the fact! Alright this guide lacks to mention that it is NOT infact the .iso file you are burning. So, what you need to do is get ImgBurn. Then move the .iso file and the .dvd file somewhere together in the same folder, i use the desktop and delete afterwards. Now if you do not have the .dvd file, you can easily use XDvdMulleterBeta8 is what I have, just locate iso, click next or something till you see make .dvd file at the bottom, i believe its a check box. And then it will create your .dvd file. Open up img burn, and select the .dvd file. Even if you select the .iso file, it always comes up with a message saying, you chose the wrong file, and it automatically selects the .dvd file...
Just burn at a slow speed, I use 2x and write.
Should play perfect in your console!

Hey Guys,

I'm having some difficulties burning a game for my X360.

Info:

Burner: LG DVD-DL Burner
Game: NBA.2K8.PAL.MULTI5.XBOX360-DNL.[NewTDT.CoM]
Disc: Philips DVD+R Double Layer

I loaded up the game in XDVD Mulleter and it came up with the following screen:
Clicky
I think everything is correct, and It is allready patched right?

I tried to burn it then with CloneCD and when I put it in my X360 it says that the disc is unreadable.

any help please?
