Hey
Great tut. read half of it almost ½ of it in 30 hours or so, very helpful

Well i couldn't get an answer to this question thats bugging me, i live in europe and the voltage here is different than that in the states as u prolly know. I am getting an xbox360 premium from the states, i got a computer with SATA cables and all, if i connect the pc (which is running on a different voltage) to the xbox360 (american voltage) will it cause me any problems? i mean cant it burn the xbox dvd driver thinking about it? or does the sata cable only transfer a specific voltage?

Thnx

@Ms85dk

Your computer and your xbox always run at different voltages,
you need to ground them both anyway so it should be fine even with an xbox from the states.

To ground your xbox and pc either:
ensure the metal chasis of the xbox and pc are touching when flashing,
use a wire with 2 crocodile clips on the end, clipping each clip to the chasis of botht hte xbox 360 and pc.

Hi,just a question. Is it possible to play back ups(pirat copies if I'm understood correctly) without flashing my xbox 360?

you can purchase a mod ship that will allow you to switch from modified firmware to the original so you can still game on live, but in short you will still have to cracl it open and flash the firmware one way or another

you both running the same firmware versions??

thats irrelevant, if the drive has custom firmware then .... make sure your iso is complete, your burning is in the right book type (DVD-ROM) and your patches are the same as last time!!

alrighty here is my question. I am currently download a "prepatched" version of "the club"

There are all these .rar files in the folder. Now do i unzip all of the files into a folder? But wont that make there be multiple files?

Or am i supposed put multiple files on the disc when i burn it? I thought it should just be one file that is the .iso file?

Also on clone cd how do i change my speed to 2x? Is it under buffer speed? So do i just put the buffer size to 2 mb? There are 2 options should i change both?

sorry for the noobish questions and i know its a little confusing.
Thx in advanced

any media type SHOULD(DL-DVD) work but we find that the majority of issues people have from this is a result of crappy media, verbatim is
the best brand period, its not just us all the forums will agree with us on that!

I've been skimming over this thread for the past few days and I'm wondering if its more of a headache than anything.
At any rate what if any would be the most prefered dvd dl burner for this project? Please be as specific as possible I'm in the market for one and I just want to ease the headache as much as possible.
Thanks in advance

you need to unrar the r1 to r? you dont need to do them individually just do one off them and the rest will follow you will need to get hold of win rar or win zip one of those will do the trick right click on the r1 and select extact to then choose a destination and away you go

Just wanted everyone to know I came along a little later than everyone else but was able to figure it all out just from reading the tutorials. Some one told me on another board that practically any pioneer burner after the 111D will work fine so I bought the
DVR-1910LS it even has lightscribe on it. Only to test I started with the memorex dl dvd's. The first burn dumped with nothing midway inside the burn I didn't change anything and tried it again(except this time I shut everything down to conserve on any resources that the program might need) the second burn I can't get my wife off of right now because she won't quit playing!! (can anyone help me with this problem of my wife j/k) sincerly appreciate the help... Thank you so much.

You cannot play NTSC on a modded PAL 360, and vice versa.
You can only play games of the same region as your Xbox or Region Free Games.

Hi guys,

I am pretty new to making backups for my games.
I have a NEC DVD burner that supports dual layer burning (but not bitsetting), and I also have 360 that's been flashed with ixtreme 1.4
Here are some of my questions, any help would be appreciated:

1. I read the earlier posts of this thread and it mentions that we don't need to have a DVD burner that support bit setting. I just want to confirm if that's true.

2. How can I make a duplicate of a backup CD (in other words, how can I copy a copied CD)? Can I just simply create an image of the backup CD then just burn the image with CloneCD?

3. What are the differences between using CloneCD and imgburn to burn game image?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I have tried to burn call of duty 4 to my DL +R DVD discs with both img and clone cd but with clone cd i justy get one file and with img it just can take a 4gb iso file. I have both iso and dvd files with iso on 7,05 gb and dvd on 1 kb. Do i need them to be in the same file or maybe in the same folder?
I really need help so plz help me :S

Yes, that's correct - that link no longer functions. Here are a few I've found:

360Patches.com

Softmodfiles.net

PS3 News.com
