I have stopped using DVD Shrink since I updated to Nero 7 as it hangs constantly requiring a shutdown (I am convinced this is a Nero action as it started with version 6.6.14 and now for all version 7's that I know of!). I am using for my one-click process AnyDVD and DVDFabExpress; and for the second process AnyDVD, DVDFabDecryptor, VOBBlanker, and Nero Recode2. The problem that I have is that I don't have a sofware like Shrink anymore to breakdown the disk contents so that if it's a small total Video_TS File (English only) I can just use the DVDFabExpress one click process, or if there is foreign language etc. I would know to then edit it in Nero Recode2. I need to know before I process the disk what is on it. Is there a software that can do this the way Shrink used to do before file processing?

There has to be somthing wrong with your setup that is making Nero/AnyDVD hang. I used AnyDVD and Nero 7 all the time before I switched over to DVDRebuilder + CCE. You could try to uninstall both AnyDVD and Nero7 and also go to Nero and get a system cleaning tool that will clean out all registery settings and drivers of past installed Nero products. Once you uninstall those programs and run the cleaning tool for Nero then reinstall the software again.

Also it could be other software your using that is conflicting with Nero. Do you have any other recording software installed? Like roxio etc etc.

If you dont want to go through all of that then why not go back to DVD Shrink if that worked for you before? You can get a copy of it from the AfterDawn link below.

You don't need Nero. Just continue with Shrink and set Decrypter as auto-burn. You will stlll need DVDFab Decrypter on some newer ones.

If u do not think to spend some $ then the best solution is still IFO edit which can isolate not only the main movie from the rest but the desired audio and subpicture among the others. I would suggest to stick with DVD Shrink else u have to use rempeg2 (which is veeeeeery slow). On the other hand the best solution replies to DVD Rebuilder.

AnyDVD to decrypt,etc., DVD Shrink to do "it's" thing and DVD Decrypter to burn. All you need to do what you want....
