Can I use MC Exploit with this special boot method ?

In my ps2 , in order to boot PSX games , I need to press the power button till the blue led on the eject button turns on , and then I leave the power button and the psx game boots (Else I get browsing screen).

Can i still use the MC exploit like this ?

is that because you have a modchip? If you have a chip then I don't see why you'd need to use the MC exploit?
