I tried reauthoring as I couldn't find any program that could merge the two with subtitles intact. I had each encoded on the hdd and I doubled clicked both "title" portions. The bar filled half way with each. It looked like the subtitles were intact as well as there was a subtitle column. Anyways it encoded both seperated halves perfectly. I burned the disc and it wouldn't play in 2 dvd players and the computer saw no association, windows media player wouldnt play any part of the disc.
So whats the deal? I need to include some sort of boot file?!

djmorren Just use the main movie. I myself do not use anything but the main movie. You save alot of space and time and if you use the main movies you might be able to get both on one disk otherwise just place them on 2 disks and be happy. Good luck.......

Well all I did was click the "title" under "main" heading. I checked what was encoded by opening it and there was audio/subpicture headers as well. They were auto-added I guess.
It was ridiculus to put this movie on 2 discs, I dont want anything but the movie. As explained above, didnt work for some reason.

That guide is what I did except theres a difference in the screens. In my reauthoring, the video preview streches to the entire left side. I dont get that left side "DVD structure". All I could see was the green bar filling telling me it was working when I double clicked the files. I have DVDShrink 3.2 and yes I tried resizing (as if the preview window was way too large), theres no handle bars.
Heres what I mean: http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/4463/mydvdshrink1ho.jpg
Looking at the result, the encoding (before burning) by opening the files, I DID see this menu. The two files are there just like the guide suggests:

It looks exactly the same? Only thing left to do on the guide is burn, so thats what I burned right there. Not a working DVD though...

Never done this myself, but your first screen is definitely off. Did it analyze the first title like it was supposed to. Maybe you should uninstall and the reinstall Shrink, because you should not be getting the screen you are if you are doing it correctly.

Tried that, didnt work. For some reason I opened it one time and it did get those menus. I think because I opened a dvd outside of authoring first. You get to the same thing though. I dunno, I dont think it'll work so I dont wanna risk another DVD just because of that, since I got the same effect.

did you reauther both titles together theyneed to be "combined"...both title 1 and title 2 are on your hdd, open DVD Shrink and drag and drop each file into dvd structure, and back up, it needs to encode them together and then burn....maybe you want to start over//// rip title 1 disc 1 and title 1 dics 2 under reauther in DVD Shrink to seperate folder with no compression and then open each in DVD Shrink combine/encode/burn or rip with DVD Decrypter and combine jsut the movie file (titles) with DVD Shrink and compress/burn
