Can someone please walk me through on how to make a copy of ultraviolet? I have tried using AnyDVD and DVD Shrink and I keep getting a cyclic redundancy error. I also downloaded the trial version of DVD Region + CSS and ran that with AnyDVD and DVD Shrink and it still would not work. I am new at this so any help would be apreciated!!!

i have always used this combo- rip to HD with dvdfab decrypter, then use vobBlanker to remove anything else (extras-crap-junk-whatever) that you would like to remove, compress with dvdshrink, and i always burn with dvddecrypter. but you can use Nero etc.
alkohol has an exceptional guide for this combo. i will include it . i have used this combination since i started doing backups and it has never failed me.
also all of these programs are free. i backed up ultraviolet yesterday with no problems. give it a shot. if you follow alkohol's guide you should have no problems also. here's a limk to the guide.

I ran into the CRC errors on this movie with AnyDVD and using CloneDVD2 as the transcoder. To fix it, I used DVD Decrypter in mode File F to extract the files to the HD. It worked fine, (no CRCs) then i opened those files with CloneDVD2 and it worked. I dont know why it needed to be ripped to HD first in this case. AnyDVD was still on in the background. One time AnyDVD said how to set up Decrypter to work with it, and i followed those instructions. I am at work, so i cant look at Decrypter right now, but i remember it was setting up Derypter to be more of a file extractor, and not to do the decrypting. Sort of like so that they wouldnt step on eachothers toes.

Hi Y'all
There is a new version of DVDFAB (goto WWW.DVDIDLE.COM , scroll down to the bottom of the page click on FREE STUFF, then click on DVDFAB express free). Once you download it . you should haveno problem in backing up the movie. Once you have DVDFAB it bring it to DVDshrink and shrink it after that you should be ready to burn it .
P.S. The version of DVDFAB is 2980, The others will not work .good luck and enjoy .

AnyDVD>Shrink>Nero burn. No problem. Nero Recode barfed. The oldies but goodies (Shrink and Decrypter with AnyDVD) will still do anything out there.

RipIt4Me has now been updated to Ver. 1.4.1.0. If that doesn't do it, you probably have a bad disc.

AnyDVD and CloneDVD, ran fine as usual, didn't rip to Hard Drive first, straight from the disk.
