I have spent all of day trying to figure out how to burn dvd's. I have searched loads of times here and keeping hitting a brick wall and getting no where.
I downloaded a film last night and have been trying all day to get it onto dvd. I got a bin and a cue file and changed the cue file into a mpeg, and i can watch it on my pc. I have tried changing it with other software.
Tried burning it with Nero and it said it burned ok but nothing happens on my dvd player.
Any help , advice greatly appreciated.

Try this method. Download WinAVI converter. This is a fairly quick and flawless converter. When using WinAVi, simply choose DVD as your output and select the file you want to convert. It takes aprroximately 40-50 minutes to convert a 715 MB .avi file to DVD. So it's not too shabby. Be sure your settings are where you like (quality=high, chapters, etc.). After the conversion, you will have output of AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. Open Nero and select the burn DVD files option. Click "add" and drag your VIDEO_TS folder over and drop it into Nero's VIDEO_TS folder. At the bottom you will see DVD capacity bar rise. Make sure it doesn't exceed 4.7GB. Burn the DVD at 4X to ensure a good burn and enjoy your movie.

Hi ,
Thanks for the replies.
Can i ask what version of Nero you use to burn dvds with and does it matter.
I have an older version but there is no option to burn dvds, only vcd/ SVCD, disc image or data disc.

BEWARE OF THE NEWER VERSIONS !!! as they are Extreemly Buggy so you really wanna stay with the 7.0.8.2 Version that is a stable version and not "Buggy"... The Free Trial can be found here:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845

Upgrading to a recent version like Nero API version: 7.2.0.3 and 7.2.0.3b will cause you nothing but problems as they are extreemly "Buggy" and a Nightmare to troubleshoot...

Good Luck and Happy Ripping
