My 2.5 psp will boot up. Nothing on the screen tho. but I have all the sound. I went thru and checked all the connections for the LCD and they were fine. This psp wasnt supposed to work anyway. But I tinkered with it until it booted up. But then i lost the screen. Do you guys think its the mobo? Thanx.

Yeah it wasnt supposed to work but like i said I GOT IT TO WORK. I mean come on, if you had something that didnt work and u got it to work for a while then somethin small happens like the screen shuts off. Wouldnt you try to fix it? BTW i have a working psp so if you cant post something relevant please dont post anything at all. Im here for help, not criticism. LAWL.

Dont talk to me that way bud. You aked a dumb question, completely vague, and nobody would be able to answer that. Do you just want somebody to make you think you know something and say "ya, its your motherboard," even when they have no idea in hell what they are talking anout? You said you had a busted psp, you never said you had a functioning one, did you. Stop asking moronic questions like that, this isnt Radio Shack, and nobody is pyschic.

I work on PSP's quite a bit... I would have to think that it might be the motherboard... Not quite sure perhaps its the cables directly connecting to the screen itself. In that case your Screen needs to be replaced. Or the motherboard is the thing that needs to be worked with.
I have had several same dilemas such as this. I managed to get it to work after switching parts out a few times. (Also dropping it a few times did the trick LOL J/K)
And by the way, don't bite that hand that feeds you Hexit, no one likes a D*ck around here...

You gave a dumb response. Ill edit my posts as much as i want. And how was that vague. Do you not understand the english language. Ill rephrase this for the mentally challenged . It wasn't in full working condition. So i started my analysis, do you understand analysis? I couldnt find anything wrong with it. It is 2.5 so a brick would be hard. I checked all the connections, the mobo, everything. It looked perfect. So i tried starting it up and what do u know it booted up like a normal psp. Then an hour later the screen quit workin. What do u know sounds like it could be a mobo prob to me. Do you know what a mobo is. Mobo = motherboard. As for callin me bud I aint your edited by ddp friend. Ill talk any edited by ddp way I want. Post somethin relevant or dont post at all. It wasnt hard for ZDpooman. Youre supposed to be the "man" on these forums. But all i see is someone acting childish. I didnt ask for you help directly. So please dont post unless you have something that carries some relevancy. Look i edited it just for you svtstang. :)

Anyways, I may have an idea... I have a extra PSP screen that works I know for a fact.
I could possibly send it to you free of charge, since I'm nice like that...
If it doesn't work send it back then you know its your mobo then

I know exactly what your problem is. The PSP hates you. It decided to tolerate you for about an hour or so but then decided that it wasn't worth it so it shut its screen off. I suggest you apologize to it and give it a hug. That might help things.

Im 21, but I have dealed with so many immature wise asses I have learned how to act....tis one thing to talk sh!t about me but to bash somebody like you that sticks his neck out is not cool, and I wont stand for that BS. Yesterday was the flame war of the century, and I really dont want to see another member banned, seems like it is happening everyday. Dude i dont want a flame war. I just came for a simple question and answer. Yes i was a lil vague in my first post, but I't didnt seem vague to me. How bout we call a truce. I sincerely apologize. 21 eh. Damn suprised. I woulda figured like 17-18. But thats what most everyones age is. Atleast theres someone close to my age.
