My SM DVD is scratched up and my ps2 has a difficult time reading it. I read in the FAQ that the CD can be used to boot DVDs. I followed the instructions but it didn't work. I would boot the CD and then at the SM screen i'd eject the disc and put in a PS2 DVD game. Refresh TOC would flash for a second or so and then the disc would never stop spinning. How am I supposed to replace the disc if it doesn't stop spinning?

I have a V4 ps2.

When it's at the Swap Magic screen you actually press the button to eject the disk? There's the problem lol. You need to use the knife method to slide open the tray.

Well it's a really easy process. I forgot the link to it but all you have to do is remove the part of the tray where it has the Sony Playstation logo. Then to the left side of the tray there is a cog. You use any sharp or small tool to rotate the cog clockwise, swap in your burned game, and then close the tray. Then you'll have to close it by pushing a little pen-like piece of plastic from the right side to the mid-left. After all of that you just press X and viola, it loads the DVD.

Practice makes perfect :).
