Is the Auto-Downgrader on PSPupdates safe?

It's part of the auto-homebrew installed. I'm wary of it because my Norton antivirus always catches a file called "Trojan.PSPBrick", but I don't know if this is norton acting weird or if it will brick my sweet PSP.

friends so appreciative, he lent me his psp and his moms brand new 2gb right out of her camera.
as in she got the camera thursday and he jacked it

this is the sonyx thing right - sorry couldnt be arsed checking out the link -

originally the sonyxteam downgrader was considered a bad thing - (it bricked PSP's

but then it sort of got accepted as a working psp downgrader - although i would still and always have reccomended the MPH downgrader

BTW the problem you have is with a crappy anti virus not the downgrader
scrap nortons and get a decent one

(also BTW the new downgrader wouldnt come up as psp- brick (whatever) with nortons as its brand spanking)

like i said your talking about the SXT one right?
