You guys know you gotta have GTA for the downgrader well i dont own it but if i buy it i think its gonna require 2.71 firmware i think, can some1 verify that?

no GTA still only requires 2.0 but I heard a rumor that the games are now patched and the exploit wont wotk. YOu should wait for someone to confirm this.

I don't think the patched version uses 2.71 am pretty sure it's only 2.60 but it might as well be 2.71 as it blocks the eloader, you will need to get a hold of Gta with the 2.00 update on it as that is the only version that allows the eloader. Try and get it 2nd hand (or even try renting it) that's your best bet of getting it with the 2.00 upgrade.

yeah i was thinking bout that but on the blockbuster site there aint any option to rent psp games and im scared that i buy one from ebay and its the 2.60 required :@

I believe your easy way out is either borrow from a friend or family. If not then try to go rent it at some video game store. Last option is buying the game..which is a waste to buy..

Your best bet is eBay nowadays, as all shelves are stocked with patched versions. You may get lucky and buy an older unpatched version.

Search through the preowned section it the game shops, your sure to find an unpatched one there. At the XMB menu, under the controller icon you should see two UMD icons, if the bottom one says PSP Update ver 2.00 you got yourself an unpatched version.
