I'm trying to back up Band of Brothers. Shrink wouldn't even open it until I used any DVD. Then Shrink will analyze up to about 90% the will have an error. DVD Decrypter has I/O error at about 84%. DVDfab will copy to my hard drive but when I try to use shrink on those files it won't even open. Any advice??????????????

First of all, I recommend RipIt4Me: http://www.ripit4me.org/ The guide is here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110
If you don't feel like trying this (because it's relatively new), you can try either 1 of these 2 methods:
1. Using DVDFab Decrypter, after decrypting to hard drive, use VOB Blanker.
2. Using DVD Decrypter, after decrypting to hard drive, use FixVTS: http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm
Then, open DVD Shrink and burn it to disc.

i also suggest running it through vobBanker. i don't think you will have any problems with shrink then.if you haven't had any experience with vobBlanker here is a guide using dvdfab. this is how i buckup all my movies, no problems.

Or if hes using a newer version of AnyDVD he can use its "rip to hard drive" function i have found that once AnyDVD has done this DVDShrink has no problem with it

You probably have a bad disc. I backed up the whole series a months ago and I just used DVD Shrink. Bring them back to the store and exchange them. You paid like $80 bucks for them, you might as well get a good disc.
