ok i got a brokenn xbox from a friend
i beleive it is a version 1.0 (made in 2002)
and bought sega gt/jsrf disc for testng
took it home and got an error 16 with and without disc in
so i hotswapped and reinstalled the dash
got an error 21 with and without disc in
so i hotswapped and installed the shademand ready made softmod
now it gets interesting
no disc error 21
disc plays sega gt and all video demos
but not jet set radio
my thoughts
maybe the dash i installed first was too new (185ead00)
for an old xbox
and in order to fit the ready made on a disc i deleted the backup
included with it
(still at the ready on my computer
(seeing as how that dash had already not worked)
any help and links are apreciated
i am new at this xbox thingy but i learn quick
after a new attempt with slayers
which went VERY SLOW
my new guess is that there are bad blocks on the drive
is there any way to fix that
(or hide the bad blocks)
