i downloaded devhook 0.41d and i put al the files at the rite place on my memcard and put my iso (games) in a iso folder on the root of my mem card but everytime i start up my devhook..or goes on with autorun..it just goes to a black screen and after 10 seconds my psp turns off...am i doin something wrong..hlep please..this devhooks getting on my nerves..HELP

Did you use the firmware installer that was included with it. Or did you download a version that had all the files included in it already. Should have been somethin around 13 megs.

yeah, if this is your first time dealing with devhook, just download one that has everything with it. You can find it at www.psp-hacks.com

yeah i did a devhook firmware installer and at the end of installing it said firmware ver. 2.00 is installed

You need the data.psar file from the 2.5 eboot.

Download the 2.5 update from any site, although this is where i got mine - http://www.psp-hacks.com. Use pspbrew to extract the data.psar. After you have it extracted to your hard drive copy it to the root of your memstick. then run the firmware installer. All should be well after that. Tis how I did mine and have not ran into a single problem. although i must say when i downloaded a prepackaged devhook with all the firmware files it would crash just like u described. Thats when i took it upon myself to figure this out. And the aforementioned is how i got mine to work.

ok thanks but are you actually saying i should upgrade my 1.5 to 2.5 firmware..im confused

no do not upgrade. thats what devhook is for, it emulates the 2.5 firmware.

ok so i get what your saying...download the 2.5 upgrade eboot and extract the data.psar from it and put it in the root..ok and that will help it or do i have to install anything

Do what you just said, put the data.psar in your memstick, Run the devhook firmware installer, when its finished hit X, not O. Then try running devhook.
