I believe there are three regions:

North America, UK and Japan (Japan region code covers most of the Eastern part of the world: Australia, etc.)

However, ANY game can play on ANY PSP. When you're talking about EBOOTS as in an update, ALL region EBOOT updates will work. When I updated my v1.50 PSP to v2.00, I used a Japanese EBOOT on my North American PSP and it worked fine.

The ONLY thing you need to worry about not being able to play are the movies. Those ARE proteKted by region b/c of language differences.

:)

I beg to differ guys, I buy movie umd's if I really like the movie, I hate having to use my ms for movies, they are reserved for games.. no point in me buy a ms for each movie,(cause I hate swapping) in which case its cheaper to buy the umd ;-)

@ dusk77:

I agree w/ you a/f/a the UMD Movies go. I use my 4GB MS for my ISOs and it IS a pain in teh a$$ to swap Memory sticks out. I wish I had an 8GB MS... but then again, I STILL couldn't fit all my ISOs.

I once heard of this dude who got a 10GB MS PROTOTYPE just to test to see if there were any problems w/ it before its release. Boy, I would like to be that dude!
