how to copy downloaded pictures to a disc

I have a lot of vacation pictures downloaded in my computer and want to put them on a disc.Which disks do I use and what are the steps in doing this?

do you want to make a movie or a slide show?
Do you want the final output on a CD or a DVD?
Do you need this to be viewable on a TV or a PC?

Please supply more details....

Thanks for getting back. I need it for slide show,either cd or dvd would be fine,need it for showing on tv.

YOu may be able to do this real simple.

Most DVD players have the ability to read Jpeg picture files. Also, you can find an option that is sequential play. So, to make it absoultly simple, all you would need is to copy the pictures onto a CD as a simple Data CD. Insert this CD into your set top DVD player and press play. Your DVD player will then start with the first picture and show that, and provided you have found the option for Sequential play, you will see the next picture in approx 3 seconds. You can also choose to press the button on the remote for the next chapter as if you were watching an ordinary dvd. doing so will display the next picture without having to wait for 3 seconds.

So, if this is all you require, simply burn all your pictures onto an ordinary CD as Jpegs (chances are they are all Jpegs to begin with) and then insert into a dvd player and press ok. your pictures will play as a simple slide show on your tv for your viewing pleasure :)
