I have burned a ps2 game image using Alcohol 120% and I am not able to burn the image to a 4.7gb DVD-R. i dont want to put a mod chip into my ps2, so if i get a swap magic do i also need to get a flip top cover or can the swap magic be enough to play the game. Which program is better to read and write images: Alcohol 120 or dvd decryptor?

I'd go with the flip top method. It's WAY easier to use and better for your laser. With Swap Magic I believe you have to use something like a knife or a modified credit card to eject the DVD tray from the PS2 without hitting the button. Also, DVD Decrypter is by far the best. It makes the best back-ups. It's REAL easy too!

Also, with your game not burning to your DVD-R...it's probably too big. Use a dual-layered DVD. You'll of course need a dual-layered burner.

OK, I don't know if you even read this anymore but I got your solution. The DVD Decrypter question is easy because you can pick the speed when you write your ISO. As for the flip top thing...MAD EASY! And you can't fuck up because when you take it apart the only thing you're dremelling is plastic! You can also buy one for $30 and they send you the top all pretty and in any color you want. Here's a link for V4-V8 PS2 Covers http://www.ps2cover.com/ps2coverblack.shtml, if you have a V9 or V10 go here http://www.ps2cover.com/v9ps2coverblack.shtml, and if you have a slim-line go here http://www.ps2cover.com/pstwofliplid.shtml. I hope all that helped!

does anyone know where i can get a flip-top cover that has a white disk, memory card ports, and a reset/eject switch already installed in it ? because the white disk that is in my ps2 is hard to take out.

No, those aren't made. Also, they're not hard at all to take off...The memory card slots are fixed on the shell you're replacing and the reset / eject swithes just lift up. Don't understand how you could be having a problem. One cautionary word though. Don't fuck with that silver ribbon. If you screw that up say "goodnight" to your reset / eject buttons!

Yeah, just use DVD Decrypter for all the copying and burning of the PS2 games. Is that all you needed help with?
