Help!!!

I have been trying to rip (DVD Decrypter) only certain chapters from the Fantasia2000 disc and then through IFO Edit, re-creating the menu and burning to DVD-R.

I have successfully done this with a couple of other DVD?s but for some reason Fantasia always gets to the 5th or 6th chapter and then skips through the rest of them when playing on a stand-alone DVD player.

I have tried everything imaginable as far as ripping. I have ripped Cell Id?s only, Vob Id?s only, Layers only, Chapters, Files, but no matter what I do it always skips through chapters after the 5th or 6th one. Plays the first 5 or 6 flawlessly.

I am convinced that it is a menu issue. It plays fine on the PC but not the standalone. Like stated earlier, I have successfully recreated other DVD?s and they played fine on this standalone (Sony DVP-NC615). Seems that the Sony cannot read the Ifo(s) properly but then again I am somewhat new at this vob dissecting stuff.

Any help would greatly be appreciated as I have countless hours into this and have almost made a career out of it ? Thanks!

Use SmartRipper to select the chapters you want and then use Nero to burn

Thanks! I'll give it a go! I have been using Instant CD/DVD to burn the files to UDF 1.02 format. I'll try about anything at this point. I'll post the results - Thanks much!

Well, it started out looking like it was going to work but it didnt make it past the first chapter and had continuous pixel issues (breaking up a lot). Again when I played it on the PC it looked fine although I forgot to play it through and check if it would get past the first chapter. The DVD Decrypter/Instant CD/DVD method seemed to work better on my sytem but now for some reason Instant CD/DVD cannot erase the DVD-RW now so I havent been able to see if it would write the Smart Ripper files on DVD any better than the DVD Decryper files (ripped files). I guess that is my next move as soon as I figure out this other new problem (erasing RW). If I figure anything out I will post it, and again, any tips and pointers are more than welcome. Thanks

After Re-burning the DVD with Instant CD/DVD I got the same results but this time I skipped to the next chapter before the player stopped on the first one and again once it got to the 6th chapter it just displayed every one after that for approximately one second (skipped right through them again). I am currently experimenting with ?TMPGEnc DVD Author? and ?DVD-lab.? Perhaps one of these will create a readable menu for the stand-alone player but of course I would prefer to resolve this with freeware. Again, any advice or ideas are welcome :)
